He might turn out to be great coach. But this hire is a huge gamble. Why pay $6 million for a buyout to a coach that has won one play in game when you have a proven winner in beard who would also be cheaper? Not to mention beard has been practically begging for the job. He will be at Kansas or North Carolina now in the next 2 years now. Half of the coaches in the sweet 16 have previous scandals and guess what? Nobody cares!!! It’s all about winning and beard was the best coach available by a mile

And that’s because our administration isn’t serious about winning. It’s a joke

I watched beard win at every single spot he’s been at with limited resources besides Texas and he had them ranked #1 in the country before he was let go. Just hire the proven winner
