First, his name is Kurtis Rourke not Nathan Rourke. Second, IU can be a football school, with money. Third, comparing Lander and Langford to this is just dumb. And if he's even remotely close to a healthy 2020 Penix, he ain't going anywhere because IUFB is playing in the CFP, either hosting a game or in the top 4. These dude's don't get that IU has money and is in arguably the best football conference in country. There's a reason Lewis is taking a serious look at IUFB. And all the boxes are checked. Thanks for sharing, appreciate hearing other folks' take on this.

I still haven't seen the first 15 minutes of it and missed what you're talking about. They made reference to Tayven later on in the show as well because I remember thinking, these guys don't have a clue on what's going on with IUFB. I just kind of shrugged it off because it's obvious they don't really have a full understanding about the program like we do. For me, they get a pass because IUFB has to earn their research/deep dives. You can tell they were just going through the motions. Unlike when they visited O$U. Another possible aspect of it all is they might just think G5 transfers don't have what it takes to compete in the conference. Who knows. Hopefully by like the time October hits they're taking extreme notice and singing a different tune. It's a process.

Tell us one IUFB head football coached that was hired with this kind of resume. There's absolutely nothing even remotely close or parallel to past coaches. We got ourselves someone that knows something, winning.

In the grand scheme of things, it means nothing. 247 for example uses "the bell curve" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normal_distribution It's basically the bell curve of a team's whole lot of player ranks. So I would think player rank is really important to set a curve. And the more the sample size the better for the curve? I'm guessing CTA's player rankings weren't that high compared to Coach Cig's. Who knows.

On3 drops him to 4 stars and ranks him 44th nationally. Oh man... this might actually be a very good thing for IUFB.

Just for comparison. Month of July CTA first year rank: 71, 8 total commits. Rivals 2 star NFL TE Peyton Hendershot being one of them. Coach Cig rank: 49, 19 total commits.
