Went to the UE game last night. UE looked to be the more talented team on the floor. It might have been a bad night for Drake. Who knows. However, Drake was hands down the smarter more disciplined team on the floor. Overall, they played solid defense, worked the ball to find the open shot and drained free throws. Seeing this kind of basketball with IU talent would be a thing of beauty and take me back to the old days of watching a team where every player on the team knew their role, was always prepared to play on the court and ready for a dog fight no matter who the opponent. This coach has the juice. Coaching matters.

IUFB is on the radar right now. Having a CFP on the belt really helps!

Losing an OL due to transfer portal. Best of luck to Vinny. I don't like seeing this but also fully understand that is the current landscape of college sports. Hopefully IUFB can find someone in the portal to fill the spot. Having depth in the front 5 is vital to success.

Hide and watch fellas.

This isn't taking a chance. He's a proven winner. Someone will hire him and I just hope it isn't the likes of Iowa or any other school in the conference.

12 straight 1st place conference finishes in the books for this coach. Coaching matters.

That's the hope at least. I'm just happy IU has finally decided to at least give IUFB a shot. The 2024 Season was one that I will never forget and always cherish. I'm looking forward to more seasons under the current coaching staff.

We get it @Stuhoo, you're concerned about his D1 experience. Totally makes sense. I'm here to tell you though he'll end up somewhere else other than Drake and will be someone's thorn in their back. I promise you. This guy just coaches and coaching matters. I'd be extremely comfortable IU hiring this guy. That doesn't mean he'll be successful in the Big Ten. And yes, it would be an "experience gamble" giving this guy the keys. But like I said, I'll be really comfortable knowing he's driving the IUBB bus just like I was when Dolson finally got serious about hiring a proven winner for IUFB. Coaching matters. There's like only one coach "in the market" (Mark Few) with this kind of win percentage. Coaching matters.

Yep, close games like that can be picked apart with what ifs. Make a free throw here, stop an easy bucket there, etc. etc. Bottom line, his team is still 1st in the conference.
-
They don't win like McCollum. Neither have any rings, notice the plural, at any level. IUBB's next coach should have a resume with championship experience. Every fan should expect that.

Yeah, well, the Dude abides.

Just, take it easy, man.

Whoever hires McCollum will be getting a guy that can flat out coach. Coaching matters. -
I didn't go back and read, can someone please get me up to speed on the current status?
-
Yeah, waving the effin' gun around!

Just take it easy, man.

Hear me now, believe me later. We're gonna regret not hiring him.

Head to head: One game on record, B over A in a D2 final four game.

Except McCollum. LOL! ;-)
