(2021) - PF Mason Miller to Creighton
Hardwood83 replied to ap2345's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I don't have any information to add, but if he's looking for a green-light in an wide-open, freewheeling offense Creighton is gonna look very appealing. -
(2021) SF - Aminu Mohammed to Georgetown

I'm all for that! Isn't he considered a one & done though? I'm not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze on that for IU. Seems to be a tough act to balance unless you go all in (see Dook, Kensucky, et al) -

I wondered the same thing. I will say they have made real strides from last year already though. Sadly I think he'll get Rutgers headed the right direction. -

Any vids of her doing jumping jacks? -
No kidding, for all the talent Sean has had still never made a FF, right?
-
I am not a fan of intra-conference transfers. IU having 2 of last year's "Captains" starting for other B1G teams is putrid, IMO.

Exactly, I told my brother I fully expected Penix to have a season ending injury on the last play since "It's Indiana (football)" -
I'm gonna guess Phin, Al, Hunter, Race & TJD to start the year. Won't be surprised if Lander eventually replaces Rob. I am biased against 3 guard line-ups though, so maybe that is coloring my thinking.

That's a shame! I hate the capricious and arbitrary NCAA rules....unless they screw the right people!

(2021) SF Bryce Hopkins

Of the finalists I hope he chooses Providence. I'm all for getting talent, but he sure doesn't seem like an IU fit to me. -
Why? This wasn't public knowledge then- wanting a long-term winner with a recent FF run was hardly shameful. For the record I wasn't for Marshall, but don't fault them. Or was this sarcasm and my meter didn't detect it?
-
If the new crop of guards are what we hope they are, then no, Al wouldn't be that much help. Brunk though? I think he'd be a huge asset assuming TJD bolts. Unless a grad transfer makes an appearance IU is gonna be super thin in the post: 1 Freshman Center in Duncomb and 1 Sr PF in Thompson.....and that is about it.

I was prepared to cancel too, but instead my cousin and I are splitting an account. You get up to six users, so we have 3 each at half the cost. I'm not a fan of Google/Youtube, but that is the best deal I can come up with.
-
No kidding. I had a better chance of scoring on my high school dates then the Cubs do. Amazing they won the division with no offense and such a thin pen.

I've heard a couple of broadcasters mention that this season doesn't count against eligibility. Is it as simple as that? Everyone gets a pass as if this season didn't happen? That could be very interesting in basketball, IF the same thing applies.

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

What a screwed up world we live in when this even has to be stated. -
I want to get excited about it, but no fans, the NL DH and everyone getting in the playoffs makes it seems more like a Japanese gameshow. Too gimmicky.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but have enjoyed some of the series mentioned: Mad Men, Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul (I prefer BCS!) and just started watching Ozark. If you like Jason Batemen try Arrested Development (Netflix) for a completely different genre. I think it's hilarious. I did not care for Peaky Blinders or Sneaky Pete but my wife liked both. Obviously she has low standards :) I would add "The Americans" although not sure where it's available. Another suggestion: Kingdom (Netflix) if you have been looking for a Zombie show set in n 18th Century Korea (with subtitles!) it's for you!

I like it when you talk dirty to me! Any other names you are hearing, grad transfers? -

I could get on board either way (sitting or not) but it might be better for IU if he does. Who was the last real rim-protector we had? Jeff Newton? -
2020 General Recruiting Thread

Completely agree. The only issue I have is if TJD leaves after next season IU would have a true Fr & R/S Fr as their only post players. (I don't consider Thompson a B1G center) -
I don't know who all those teams have, but that seems like a salty non-con.
-
I fixed that for you :)

Thompson starting at the 5 will tank my expectations for the season. I like him at the 4 and assume some spot mins here or there at 5, but he is not a starting B1G or even Power 5 center, IMO. I'd love to see a Grad Transfer C come in. -
This article does a decent job of expressing how I feel: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trying-to-protect-everyone-we-exposed-the-most-vulnerable-to-the-virus/ar-BB14mOvu?ocid=msedgntp I think the US response to COVID-19 damaged our economy AND health in the process. That may have been understandable for the first few weeks, but now 2+ mos later "we" still don't seem to get it.
