Think about this: current role is all about access. Dakich and those like him have to start all over and that requires relationship building skills. By all accounts Dakich does it fairly well. But if an outsider comes in he will have to work harder. Alford would provide Dakich, as a media member and IU alumnus, complete and unrestricted access.

I fail to comprehend on what planet Glass is living on. If Crean is back, life gets pretty ugly for both next year. Glass is paid to make decisions with his head not heart- make the move and ignore solid landing spots.

This statement speaks volumes to me. I don't care who or what you(coaches) portray yourself to be as a staff and as coaches. If you want your players to compete, you model the way. And that does not translate to running away from adversity, boos, or empty seats. There is no credibility within this staff if "they" chose to play in Atlanta.

Whichever way this goes- expect near dead silence as the decision approaches its conclusion. As leaders near their decision they tend to trust their inner circle and those are folks very close and trustworthy. The best leaders know their inner circle and know info won't be leaked.
