I agree JG would have been on the bench for IU. He wouldn’t have played a ton but would have played more minutes than Banks and Sparks. They have started JG almost all year. Is that a positive for MD? In the 12 games prior to the IU game, as a starter for MD, he scored 4 or less points in 8/12 of the preceding games ( zero points in three of them and two points in four of them) and for the year is shooting 43%, 16% from the three, 4 boards a game with twice as many turnovers as assists. He seems like a good guy/teammate but would not have added much of anything to IU if he had stuck around.

I agree. Even though the “W” sent more than a few fans down a drain of depression I enjoyed the second half and am glad the guys fought so hard to come back and get the win. We have even bigger issues with our administration than we think if a single road win changes the overall direction they want to go with the program. I would hope that a single game doesn’t change the direction they were heading wether that direction was to fire Woody or keep him.

I would have lost one bet today. When X caught the elbow to the throat, and the ref’s decided to not call a flagrant, I would have bet $1,000,000 that X would retaliate with some sort of stupid chippy foul. He surprisingly kept his cool.

I don’t like running down the clock so early in the game. We had it going but then had a few bad possessions in the row after dribbling down the clock.

But we sucked the first half. Gallo and X have been killing it this half but I doubt they are overly motivated by the NBA scouts.

Give the guys credit. It would have been VERY easy to fold up the tent when down by 16 on the road.

The announcers were saying we had a shot at a 6 point play and instead the bucket is waived off for zero point play.

Not only was it not called a flagrant but Wares basket was waived off. WTF.

If X delivered the shot, rather than received it, it would be a 1 second review.

Of course he made that three but YTD JG is shooting a robust 16% from the three.LOL I wonder if he finally understands his best position is not as a three on the court.

The Cig hire has certainly fired me up for the football season. I think he will be successful but Im going to hold off calling his hire a grand slam until he at least gets his first BT win.

You missed my earlier post. Not only did he wake up but when Woody said we needed to stop Wiscy’s momentum Hill pulled the alarm. He finally earned his xxxthousand a year tonight.

We needed a PG and a 2G (especially a three way 2G) and for Gallo to be the Big Ten 6th man of the year.

What a weird box score. We shot 62% from the field but only won by 4 !! Wiscy only shot 3 free throws the entire game! Wiscy had 10 steals to our one (which helps explain them staying close even though we shot 62% and they only had 3 FT’s.) Wiscy only had 2 TO’s compared to our 12. IU had 7 blocks to Wiscy’s zero.

Nope, It will be in the NBA. He might bounce back and forth from the G league but will have 5mm or so guaranteed.

The teams a mess but all the “knowledgeable” posts, a few weeks ago, saying Ware would shut it down for the NBA draft and/or just didn’t care are cringe worthy at this point.

I heard from a very good source that when Wiscy went on their run Woody woke up Armond and told him to finally do something. Hill came through.

Thanks for the article. Interesting that he moved from a “4 out” to “5 out”offense. If it doesn’t work he might want to copy our “2 out” offense …LOL
