  1. A lot of their posters were saying Cig will be in the SEC next year.
  2. OK, I’ll say it (and I haven’t been drinking). Many say we can go 11-1 but EVERYONE is positive we have no chance at the shoe. I’m starting to think we have a 20-33% chance shot (if CR is healthy) at OSU.
  3. I agree. When asked about CR Cig did not sound as optimistic (ie he will be fine next week etc) as I had hoped. We shall see.
  4. I usually don’t spend time on other teams sites but was curious what Husker fans were saying. One poster made me LOL by saying that on the sideline Cig looks like a “psychotic dentist”
  5. A funny Nebraska post: ”If they score 105 on us will the scoreboard show us winning 7-5”.
  6. Some Nebraska posters are making comments along the lines of “Cig is going to do well in the SEC next year” Not that he needed it but this has been a 5+ hour commercial for Cig.
  7. Normally I would agree with you but today I’d give TJ as many snaps as possible in case CR can’t go next week.
  8. There is ZERO chance Cig would call off the dogs in the middle of the 3rd quarter. I have no doubt he would like to put up 50+. I really hope CR’s injury isn’t serious. Just had to be his throwing hand, didn’t it.
  9. I realize this isn’t “ vintage Nebraska” but the IU OL is dominating the NB DL. Let that sink in.
  10. Yep. I looked at one of their boards and they think Cig is doing a good job (although some think he is an ahole LOL), some of them are complaining that we are getting away with holds but they are also impressed by our offense, especially the WR’s.
  11. When I wake up from my dream I hope IU really is beating NB 28-7 at the half.
  12. Keen eye for the obvious but that Horton drop was big.
  13. Correction: That was a GREAT move by the returner.
  14. That could not have possibly gone better. Clean pocket, holes for the running backs, Let’s go!!!
  15. According to the photos he would be a good wingman.
  16. After a couple of million more $$$ in commercials.
  17. 5/6 of the ESPN game day guys (including Scottie Scheffler) picked IU to win. Saban picked NB because of their defense,
  18. Someone needs to remind Fox that there are two teams playing today. I LOVE it but their coverage has been 90% IU, 10% NB.
  19. Mellencamp didn’t exactly fire up the crowd…LOL But what a great atmosphere. EDIT: My comment was not in response to Dave from Daytons post.
  20. The atmosphere and hype is beyond anything I have ever seen associated with IU football. Please, please, please, please, please, please follow-up with a win.
  21. I mentioned that the trenches scare me a bit. NB leads the BT in both sacks and TFL. Think we will quickly see how/if our OL will hold up. Its kind of hard to imagine, because I grew up when NB was an absolute power and they have been in the weak West division, but if Nebraska wins tomorrow it will be the first time in 8 years that they have qualified for a bowl and and the first time in 8 years that they have beaten a ranked team. Looking forward to disappointing them.
  22. I can’t remember being more excited for an IU football game. Fair or not, from a national perspective this game will label IU as either contenders or pretenders. NB’s defense, and the trenches, scare me but I still picked IU by 14. Jealous of those of you that will be at the game. Have fun and let’s gooooooo.

Am I the only one that thinks Dolson should give Woody a big raise and extension to prevent him from getting poached by UVA ?

    Fire Coach Woodson Thread

That’s an interesting take. In my mind Woody has to win big (yes, there are many interpretations as to what that means) to retain his job but your projection that this could be his last year, even if he wins big, makes a lot of sense. Win big and he might just take his victory flag and move on. All his friends/family/etc would tell him “you did it” “you turned things around” etc etc. Lose big and hopefully (who knows) the boosters and BOT will decide it’s time to make a move. To me the worst scenario, by far, is an “in-between” season. I really hope we either win big or lose big.
  25. That is very, very funny comparing Knights days to what happens these days. Ignore these kids? Do you really think Knight made numerous home visits, hosted a guy numerous times, went to countless high school games, practices, AAU games, like Woody and the staff did for Sisley, Harrelson and Mullins? I have heard many ex-players say Knight visited their home (some of them didn’t even get a single home visit) and they then went to IU for a visit, were taken into Knights office and were basically asked “do you want to come here or not”.
