Prior to today he is 1-12 from the three. EDIT: hopefully 3 answers from posters are enough …LOL -

PSU has won 4 of the last 5 games vs us. The issues we have had with Northwestern, Nebraska and PSU are mind boggling. -

Nope….which makes the Bama loss even worse. UM’s two primary strengths were RB and DL and all those guys sat out. Makes me chuckle. -

By any measure TJD is a huge human but looks relatively small against Embiid. Great take to the basket. He really improved that aspect of his game at IU as he went from flicking the ball up towards the rim to aggressively attacking the rim with purpose. -

Luckily for him he blocked against a Michigan DL missing all three of their NFL bound linemen. -

Thanks, based on the article I would guess he felt his status as a starter was in jeopardy. -

Would we have a shot? Probably depends on what he is looking for in a $chool. He started this year but is looking at other $chools. What could be the reason? Wants to attend a more challenging academic $chool or perhaps it’s something e$se. -

We have done a great job filling a number of needs but man I would love to see one or two “clear and obvious upgrades” on the OL. -

PSU - 79 THE Football school - 71 -
I have never wanted an OSU football win like I do when they play Texas. Blowing out Texas would put the very last nail in the SEC coffin.
-
Prior to the brackets being announced I heard Saban say he wouldn’t want a bye as that was too much time off. Thought it would be difficult to be sharp after the extended layoff.
-
I thought the refs would review it for two seconds and call targeting. What a HUGE no call.
-
I wanted ASU to win, primarily to laugh at the SEC, but will be just as happy if OSU or Oregon smokes them in the BT-SEC matchup. The BT team better (really hoping) smoke Texas.
-
Arizona State OL is getting lit up by Texas. Reinforces, once again, the need for an elite OL. Really wish we could drop a bag on one or two NFL bound type OL dudes. The OL will be a huge factor in our ceiling next year.

The same alternate universe in which we can’t beat Northwestern or Nebraska. -
Second TD was a punt return.

I’ve read unconfirmed reports that next year we will have a 12 team playoff with 8 SEC teams and 4 “others”. The winner of the “others” competition will be deemed the 5th best team in the nation while the SEC automatically gets the championship trophy and the 1 through 4 final rankings.
-
They might be eliminated if more teams are added. That being said, I’m ok with the byes if they are given to the 4 teams deemed to be the 4 best. Bums me out that IU would have hosted Boise State, in the first round, if the bracket would have been set by ranking rather than automatic byes.
-
AZ State really earned their bye …LOL I’m pretty confident proper seeding will be in place next year.

Yeah, that’s a big one. FWIW Torvik gives IU a 73% chance of beating Rutgers which is the highest percentage of any of our remaining 18 conference games. Lose against Rutgers and, as you said, the avalanche will begin. If we beat Rutgers the avalanche will merely be delayed a little bit. -

When the season started Matt Torvik had IU going 11-9 in the conference. In his updated analytics (ie after our actual “performances”) he now has IU going 8-12 in the conference. I think 8-12 is our ceiling and that we will be in the 6-14 to 8-12 range, we will miss the tourney and any remaining “grey area in regards to the administration keeping Woody” will be erased. -

I listened to the Assembly Call post-game Winthrop podcast. This won’t surprise anyone but the two coaches (Jarod Morris wasn’t on the show) went over a number of small details that don’t show up in the box score (where a pass is delivered, being ready to take a shot, a big man sealing off his guy so the guard can take it to the rim, positioning, defensive posture, hustling back on D, etc etc). Literally none of those aspects of the game show up in the box score but they are winning plays and the podcasters repeatedly said doing those things is a sign of good coaching but made it clear we usually don’t do those things. They also pointed out that Hatton, who has been coached at Bellarmine, is one of the few guys on the team that does indeed do many of the little things. Is it a coincidence that Hatton does those things and was coached by the Bellarmine guy for multiple years? I think not. The podcast was really an indictment of Woody without explicitly using those words. EDIT: one comment they made, which made me both chuckle and sad, was that we sometimes look like a travel team that was hastily put together to play in a tourney. No connection between the players, etc etc. -

Fife has IU and Michigan State on his resume but hasn’t caught on at another coaching job because of the influence of the incredibly well respected Woody? That’s funny.
