Thanks Awesome clip In addition to the plays and coaching its great to see the usually fairly stoic Urban gush, yet again, over our coaching. He is really enamored with the staffs coaching on both sides of the ball. I like his line “turning really good players into great” which is a testament to our coaching staff as he obviously knows we do not have near the level/quantity of athletes as teams such as UM.

Jeronimo was scoreless tonight in a game Maryland blew out the opposition 84-43. In three games JG has played 14 minutes a game but has only scored a total of 4 points (2-5 from the field).

And he has BYU at #2 ….???!!!

Beating up the Little Sisters of The Poor has never proven much. The talent discrepancies between an Eastern Il level team/league and IU were just as great prior to NIL as they are now. Ugly first half but first 30+ win in nearly two years (and we played plenty of duds in those two prior years).

It’s just the way it is these days but I’m not a fan of the current reality that winning by 35 is better than 25 for tourney ranking/seeds/etc.

To be fair Eastern did beat a very strong Earlham team.

We had not faced a single projected first round NFL player until yesterday. Michigans DL features two projected first round picks (roughly the 5th and 21st overall picks) PLUS a projected third rounder. Our OL faced those THREE NFL DL guys while missing a starter and with a sub that only had one day to practice with the starters. The more I think about it the better I feel. Their TE was one of their best weapons and he is projected late first round/early 2nd. Rourke looked a little rattled which surprised me as did the dropped passes. In spite of that we beat UM by 5, endured a great test/challenge and have a perfectly timed bye week. Who knows what will happen at OSU? They have taken care of some teams but only beat Nebraska by three. Can’t wait for the game.

Surprised to see his production decrease each year as I thought he would be a monster. Injuries, playing time??
