Feel free to boo me but in my opinion going 2-6, with both wins being against teams that won one single conference game, does not exactly blow away their predictions. That being said....VERY happy we won two road games to get to a bowl. Even though both teams are horrible I did not see us winning two road games in a row. Glad to be wrong.

Really need a QB, Zander has a ton of heart, runs well, but has little touch, accuracy or arm strength. Without a QB it will be like Wilson's first year in which many expected him to do a lot with the large number of letterman he inherited (there were a lot of " imagine what he will do with all of this talent"comments) but the graduation of Ben Chappel was a huge loss. Suds graduating will also hurt a ton unless we find someone.

Prediction League Game 8 (Week 4) IU vs Duke (12/02/15)
DChoosier replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
With three seconds to go Crean calls a play that confuses Coach K and IU wins 79-78 Do I think it will happen? No, but this will be my first game at Cameron and I am hoping for the best. -
Is this game going to be shown on the primary BTN channel?

IU vs St. John's Post Game Thread
DChoosier replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In a way I do not like to say this because kids are born with different personalities/wills/temperament etc but JB reminds me of Bracey Wright. Has some good shooting nights, D seems to be "take it or leave it" and his visible persona (may feel differently internally) projects that winning or losing does not matter all that much. NBA is surely his goal but without more toughness, lateral quickness and 2-3 more inches it is unlikely he will be playing his pro ball in the US (like Bracey). Hope it changes/improves, for his sake and selfishly because I want IU to win, and we have to remember he is only a soph, but not sure it will. -
Hanner would have LOVED Maui.

Agree. Get them out. We are up 3 scores.

Jay bob, Ask the Maryland fans if they need help burning couches tonight. Not sure if they only do it after wins but who knows?
-
Nat and Bob need to take down a goalpost

Hit was also loud on TV. Do not want to jinx us but this is looking good.

We heard the "career high/ team record" type comment a little earlier than usual today. Career day for their RB with 14.20 to go in the 3rd. Anyway, let's get the score back here.

Got to give it to the team for not throwing in the towel.

Huge props to the offense for keeping their heads in the game after another "here we go again" start.

Cobbs has really progressed this year. Next year Zander to Cobbs will shock the nation.
-
Offense keeps doing their part. Feel bad for Howard. Been nicked up a lot.

That is an insult to rusted PIntos. quote name="Class of '66 Old Fart" post="211777" timestamp="1448128688"]And for one of the low quotes of the day from Rajohns: "If IU and Purdue do nothing today...the 2015 Bucket game is going to have all the luster of a rusted Pinto that's a neighborhood eyesore." [/quote]

In their 6 previous BT games Maryland scored 7 points four times in the first quarter and 0 the other two.

Hate to say I told you so. Yet ANOTHER 3rd and long given up. I would love to see national stats on giving up 3rd and long. Just amazing.
-
Oh no. 3rd and long coming up

Looking forward to the inevitable post game comment that " if you back out the 79 yard run, open receivers, and other big plays you can see our defense is much better than the past".

Analysis; How about Thomas Bryant?
DChoosier replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In regards to Noah. He was a rebounding presence but not much of one underneath on the offensive end. Even when he called for the ball he tended to stand next to the defender with his arm in the air, rather than seal him off, and did not "present himself" in positions with good passing angles. It is early but TB seems to instinctively know how to put himself in a better position to be a presence underneath. -
IUFB Prediction League - Game Number Eleven - IU vs Maryland (11/21/15)
DChoosier replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I picked us to beat Michigan but am going MD 31 IU 27 I am going with the odds. In 5 1/2 years Wilson's only BT road win is against a UI team that went winless in the BT. Hope I am wrong. -
IU vs. Michigan Post-Game Thread
DChoosier replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Exciting game but after the initial joy of the go ahead touchdown who here thought we could actually hold them from tying the game with 2:52 to go? Having the opposition make big plays, wide open receivers, making 2nd and 29/ 3rd and 13/ 3rd and 10 etc etc first downs is as common as the sun coming up in the morning. It is staggering how often teams convert on third and long. Many talk about the defense getting gassed but UM scored after three plays at the start of the game. A big positive was how the line helped Howard shred the UM defense which meant, of course, we did not use him the last two plays of the game. The bummer, and I hate being so negative, is that Howard will go pro, Suds graduates and we are looking at an average offense next year. A number of defensive players come back but as has been the case for years....who cares if the returnees are the backbone of a hideous defense. -
IUFB Prediction League - Game Number Ten - IU vs Michigan (11/14/15)

Wilson now has a lower Big Ten winning percentage than Lynch (let that sink in) but for some inexplicable reason I am going: IU - 38 UM - 35 -

I was recently in Mississippi. It is Nirvana if you are extremely obese, ride a scooter with a big gulp cup holder and chain smoke.
