Not usually one for “giving” minutes but if we extend the lead I would like to see Jake and CM get at least 3-4 minutes to see how they handle the bright lights.

Agree on offense but thought he got lost, and let guys get position underneath, a few times.

How true. Obviously I was hoping we would pull it out but if I had been forced to bet on the outcome after we tied it I would have, due to decades of research, bet on an implosion.

The announcers correctly stated that IU was moving the ball all quarter and “chomping at the bit” to get the ball back and we run it up the middle three straight plays. WTF. At least things are looking good for next weekend.

We tied it and then, just as dependably as the sun rising in the morning..... last two drives..... 3 up the middle and punt. delay of game penalty and then fumble.

Please tell me that the IU - Michigan game is on a BTN overflow station. Being on FS1, ABC or ESPN is really bad for recruiting.

We made the Minnesota receiver work for it. He did not get his 100 yards until there was 10:29 left in the 3rd.

Time flies......... We are only 10 months from the “I can see us winning 8 or maybe 9 games” posts which will be followed by calling prognosticators (who always turn out to be correct) crazy for predicting we will stink again.

So the OSU QB just underthrew his receiver and the PU DB was called for pass interference when he made contact as the OSU receiver came back to the ball. Herbstreit says good call as there was obvious contact. The same thing happened in the IU game, when IU had the ball, but pass interference was not called. Griese said that was a good no-call because the offense should not be rewarded for a poorly thrown ball. Sometimes it is like the NBA where the “stars” or prestigous teams (ie PSU) get calls but the IU’s of the world do not get 50/50 calls.

It is sad but it does illustrate the difference a coach can make, Wilson won a grand total of 10 BT games in his last 4 years. 40% of those (4/10) were against historically awful PU teams. How lucky for Wilson, that PU was really bad, as he needed PU wins to get into his two bowls. So PU was absolutey at the bottom of the barrel but a new coach immediately helped them get some decent wins. I hate PU but it is fairly impressive.

I thought this was illegal but apparently Purdue locks their entrance gates so that half of the crowd cannot leave at halftime. I proudly back the freedom to leave early at IU that allows 50-70% of the fans to leave at the half.

Are you implying there is a correlation between having the 10th or 11th or 12th best recruiting class and having the 10th, 11th or 12th best team in the Big 14 ?
