So we hire an interim coach that lost his job 2 1/2 years ago but hasn’t caught on as a coach at any school in America because? He played at IU? I think we have already unsuccessfully tried that. And then the AD is supposed to tell our new coach candidates that a requirement to their employment is that they must retain Fife as their top assistant? I’m not sure that computes. Woodson being gone does, however, compute.

Making money at OUR expense? LOL If, on the other hand, you are the guy bankrolling Ballo I apologize.

I agree. Look at his legs and arms. I’m in my 60’s and built better than that guy. Also, there is no way that’s a 6’5” dude in that chair. -

We are all playing checkers while Woody is playing chess. He knew we needed to have #3 Gonzaga on our resume, for SOS, and made it happen!! #extension/raise -

The 28 point loss isn’t really a good reflection of the game as our futility made it seem as though we lost by 40+ -
Trust me. Your meeting, even if it was being held to fire you, was much more fun than watching what was rumored to be a basketball game.

Good point not to mention that Gonzaga must be thrilled they most likely dodged a bullet. -

The good news is that once we get out of the Bahamas we have a home game against Sam Houston (I assume that’s a college vs just a single dude). I give us a fairly good chance of winning that game but if we lose does that count as a good win for Sam Houston? -

Wake up the dude that sleeps next to Woody and let him finish the season. Maybe being the HC will help him keep his eyes open. -

I don’t usually post unreasonable hyperbole but….stick a fork in the season. This is pathetic on every single level. -

Won’t happen but I would LOVE for Goode to candidly compare being coached by Underwood vs Woody. -

We are something like 2-8 from three feet or less -
It’s interesting watching a Duke game without coach K’s influence over the refs. Hunter D clearly hook and holds but the foul is called on Duke..LOL Duke nails a 3 at the end of the half and the shooter is clearly knocked down but no-call. That’s a 4-5 point swing in just 90 seconds because Duke doesn’t have K giving the refs instructions through their ear buds.

I read a lot of posts that said Bidunga was a project but he looks pretty damn good tonight against Duke.

So in the unbelievably moronic ESPN strength of schedule metric IU went from 106 to 51 in ONE game. Glad we went up but what does that say about the metric when we went up 55 spots in ONE game. They totally ignored it and didn’t hammer SOS tonight. Wonder why? WTF! Tennessee “earned” a nice bump up because they beat 2-9 UTEP at home? Really? WTF! Clemson is now lurking because they beat Citadel last week? Really? WTF! Georgia “proved themselves” and move up because they beat friggin UMASS and ESPN doesn’t even mention that? If that had been IU ALL of them, except Booger, would have been all over us. WTF! All that being said. Beat PU, stay in the playoff, regardless of seed, and all is good.

IU -81 Ville - 76 -
in the last 100 years we had 18 coaches prior to Cigs arrival. Bo had a 56% winning percentage during his IU tenure. None of the other 17 coaches had tenures in which they won at least 50% of their games. None of them. 12 of them won less than 40% of their games. I’d say Cig is off to a pretty good start :)
-
Since 1950 his competition is Bill Mallory, who won 47% of his games, or John Pont who got us to the Rose Bowl but only won 38% of his games. Pretty clear to me that a 11-1 Cig leading a team, picked to come in 17th in the BT, to the CFP is already our best coach ever.
-
Yes, Lot of players to fill in without having 13 following from JMU, retaining the staff will be difficult and next year we play at Oregon, at Iowa and at PSU. No strength of schedule issue.
-
Yep. For all the $$$ we have committed I find his buyout number surprisingly small. Any traditional power/SEC team etc can come with that cash without breaking a sweat. I expected it be at least 27-30mm.
