Whether in translation or taking it to the bucket……good things don’t happen when MM dribbles. -

Normal now….. Quite a change from the Ballo, MR, MM, Rice and Carlyle we began the season with. Cant remember the last season (if any) in which 3 starters were flipped without injuries being involved. -

In a half hour I’m putting aside the crappy coaching/season and hoping like hell we get the W. In spite of everything that has gone on I really, really want to see IU in the tourney. Hopefully we see very little of MR and Ballo together. After a game of barely being on the court at the same time they were together for 17 minutes against Oregon. Hope to see that reduced to 5-7. Also…..will MM join the party/game today? It’s anyone’s guess as to which version of MM will show up. -

Tucker is going to “will us to victory” from the bench!! Armond is going to wake up for senior game!! IU - 79 OSU -71 -
Some of them might be insiders that were told to quiet down. Some of them might be posters that were called up from the basement, by their mom, for family movie night. Who knows ???

The difference is that we allegedly (I do not have first hand knowledge) looked into Beard during the post-Archie Woody hire, BFORE the domestic violence accusation, and took a pass due to what we found out. Louisville and UK looked into him after the dv accusation and passed. I agree with others that he is not worth the risk. He is a very good coach but it’s not as though he has won 2 Natty’s.
-
The most challenging aspect of this hire, BY FAR, is pretending to listen to my wife while I read all of these posts. I’ve managed to piss her off a few times while basically not learning anything (but enjoying it).
-
It will be more clear to you if you read the past x number of pages. You will learn that an announcement will be made next week, after the BT tourney or after the season is over and that we are hiring Brad, a non-big name, five or 6 power 4 coaches and for good measure a “Dutch oven” joke is thrown in.
-
I read a post on Rivals that said MR will be playing in Miami next year. I have no idea if it’s correct but Miami just hired the Duke assistant as their new coach and MR is from Miami.
-
73-83 conference record since 2017….I’ve lived through it but it’s still inconceivable to me that IU has circled the drain to such an extent.
-
Most of us consider Brad a dream scenario but it’s no surprise to read that he could now permanently be an NBA guy and it sounds as though he likes Boston. When it comes to coaches and players it seems as though many assume everyone wants to “come home” but a lot of people (including me) have no desire to “go home”.
-
That’s good to hear but I guess we will see if they are “Brad Steven’s whispers” or “B.S. whispers”…..LOL PS. It’s a joke about the people whispering, not a shot at you.
-
So is the Brad Steven’s to IU narrative totally dead or do you still hear Brad to IU whispers?
-
MANY (media, fans, posters) thought Archie was a home run hire. At the time Archie, Holtmann and Mack were the three hottest young coaches in the country and IU nabbed Archie. There are many examples of mid-major coaches being successful at bigger programs but unfortunately there are many, many cases of them bombing. We all know which category describes Archie.

Tucker was allegedly reaching out to other teams, over a month ago, because he didn’t think he was getting the minutes he deserved. IF TRUE, and I don’t have direct knowledge that it is, I would happily say good goodbye. He might turn out to be a good player somewhere else but no thanks.

I understand not naming the candidate, and the last thing in the world I would want to do is violate their need for discretion, but by any chance is the new coach sometimes called a masshole??

Hummel was correct when he said that, with all the reviews, the number of timeouts left is almost a moot point.
-
RE: Michigan at Nebraska review. This is ridiculous. The refs should get 30 seconds to review and make a decision.

On one hand I’m not very excited about Drew as our coach but on the other hand winning a Natty at Baylor is beyond impressive. I don’t really remember much about that team. Did he have a Wade type talent, ala Crean, or was it something else? Natty is very impressive but this will be his third year in a row with at least 7 conference losses. NIL issues, something else? EDIT: Just looked at his yearly results, at Baylor, and saw that his first season was 20003-2004. Since that time he has taken BAYLOR, to the Elite 8 three times vs. zero for IU during that time frame. I’m still not that thrilled but he has certainly done some positive things at a historically putrid program.
