  1. Agree with your comments on Twitter (I mean 'X') and on Elon Musk.  Anyone not choosing to see the blatantly obvious on it is choosing willful ignorance.

Although it hasn't been a tough schedule, they are 7-0. Pom currently projects them to finish 20-11 and 10-10 in conference.

I am not trying to be difficult, just helpful. The poster you are responding to simply asked 'with no attributes, how can we know what you post is based on anything?' That post is not a dig. It's asking what information/knowledge you were posting it on. Asking you what your opinion is based on is advancing the conversation. You providing the context above is simply what he was asking for, although I'm not sure where the 'rub some dirt on it' mentality you mention is coming from. I don't recall anyone saying that X isn't 'manning up' and should be playing if he can't go.

BTW, never thought I'd see a 100+ thread on IU football.

Technically I believe scholarships are year to year anyway -- you don't HAVE to renew a player's scholarship. Even if a team were to honor their scholarships year to year -- pretty much everyone does -- I do not think they are under any obligation to take a player back if they enter the portal. For instance, a player like Khristain Lander hit the portal and I believe was hoping for a bigger landing spot than Western Kentucky......but I do not think IU was under any obligation to take him back if he didn't like his other options.

Could be. If so, the announcement would come tomorrow and would be leaked before then.

If X is out, I have no idea who guards Jahmir Young. I'm hoping we see some of the zone that we threw against Louisville considering Maryland's shooting woes so far.

Yep....Pac 12 done as we know it. Big 12: Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, UCF, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah, and West Virginia. In terms of football cash cows, they are lacking.

I can take this one......because the ACC has really come out on the short end in conference expansion and I would say their future is on shaky ground. The Big Ten grabbed UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Washington. The ACC grabbed.....Stanford, Cal, and SMU. And North Carolina, Clemson and Florida State both voted against accepting those teams because they didn't agree with the monetary distribution. Clemson and Florida State are the conferences two big money makers in football, which is where the bulk of sports revenue tends to come from. I don't think either Clemson or Florida State will stay in the ACC all that much longer and will eventually be part of the SEC. At that point it becomes much less lucrative to be in the ACC.

There is nothing to overthink about on a random tweet like that because it didn’t provide an ounce of info. I gathered nothing from it and am not even going to begin trying to connect anything with it.

There was a long article....can't remember whether it was SI or ESPN......about this well after the firing occurred. Seemed Goodell was in constant contact with the Raiders asking them repeatedly what they were 'going to do about the Gruden situation'. Think that the Raiders took the message as they had better take care of the situation or it was going to get worse.

Yes. With the $3 million boost in NIL, we will now have $3,000,005.

**** it, get Ryan Day when he gets fired at Ohio State for going 11-1. Let him know we have zero expectations of beating Michigan.

Kevin Wilson left in 2016. Four years later seems like a long time to give credit to a coach who was never above .500 at IU. Those two bowl seasons IU was 6-6 in the regular season and lost their bowl games.....and IU was 6-11 in conference.

Forget what Tracy Stevens did to IU......she ******* abused Danny Ainge. Got him to 'retire' from the Celtics so hubby Brad could take his spot. Ainge, who said that he 'needed a break' stayed retired for all of six months before joining Jazz management.

$20 million donation really doesn't go as far as you would think in terms of NIL -- unless the money is renewable, it's just a short term fix. It was noted that Sorsby was hearing numbers between $400,000 and $600,000 for programs looking at him in the portal. Over three years that's around 1.5 million for one player. Reports are coming out that football NIL money was doubling in its second year of being legal compared to the first.
