I have never been to handy and recently had an issue with my sump pump. The pvc fitting broke from my back up pump and caused water to start getting pushed back out by my more powerful standard pump Trying to id what the raised portion with the ridges is called. It has a gasket that seals to the check valve on the left. This is the still functioning main pump but piping is identical.

I think it is just the slip nut. How do I get the new one on if it buy the part is it simple?
