I'm worried about in-state recruiting.
FindEndNow replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well I'm not just going to agree with what everyone says here. And I'm going to type my opinion. Why wouldn't I? I thought this place would be better than ITH but it's just the same almost but with more variety(as to topics). -

We don't recruit Southern much anyways. Indy is just like Chicago though. I was told we shouldn't recruit Chicago because it is sketchy. Well so is Indy. -

Well it ties into the thread and a problem with recruiting in Indiana. You don't always know what a player is doing off the field. Antonio Allen though was a bit of an extreme case I'd say. -

Not even Illinois. Indiana is well known as the meth capital. Sad but true. But that rural America. Greatly lead by Southern Indiana. I live in a small town and all you see in the paper are meth busts lol. -

Indiana just had a player kicked off the football team for dealing coke, herion and meth. He's from Indy. Indy isn't candy land... depending on what your candy is. But no one has a meth problem line Indiana. It's sad to see. But if one player was doing this... there's gotta be two. -
I like Turner to play the 4. We need to find a big man to replace to replace Hibbert. Really the only untouchables on the team should be George and Turner. This isn't a team built to contend. It is built just to have a team period. A lot of changes need to happen.

I'm kinda ok with our recruiting. More and more it seems we need to stay out of Indy. Indiana itself(especially Southern Indiana) just seems to have a drug problem. Southern Indiana it is meth. Indy it is everything you get your hands on. They just don't get far enough away. I feel that's why transfers go to Iowa State. What trouble can you get into in Iowa? Lol. -

they lost to Fullerton in the Super Regionals? Either way it is farther than we made it. And we didn't make it to the CWS last year. We lost to Stanford. Or was that in the CWS? College baseball is difficult to keep track of. -

We have been beating UofL. But Vandy was just in the title game again. UofL was in the CWS again. They're much more successful than we are. -

Well those 3 schools are always very very good. So it makes sense for them to leave. -

I'm talking about the 4 star players that came in that year. Fant and Latham are the only 2 of the 5 or 6 left. All defensive players except for one. -

Wilson had a really good 2013 class. But only Darius Latham and Rashad Fant are left. Antonio Allen was kicked off. David Kenney and Kris Smith transferred. Taj Williams never made it on campus. So that hurt a lot. Just like Crean's 2012 class. Both were built on a few Indiana players. Multiple ones from Indy. -

It isn't the 80's. Indiana doesn't carry the same weight it once did. We've never been good at football and the best talent is down south. In basketball the players would rather go to Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan or Michigan State. I'm fine not recruiting Indy. But if we're going to recruit out of state then we need to recruit the absolute best just like Kentucky, Duke, Kansas. -
They can trade him to the Warriors for Mo Speights and the 30th pick.
-
I hope they trade him. I don't know where to. Just away from MJ. They had a year of hope. They used Zeller just fine kind of on offense. But MJ is clueless on building a team.
-
it is all up to the defense. The offense will be fine. But just like basketball.... it is all up to the defense.
-
Whether we like or not... we have to schedule some schools from the MEAC, SWAC, NEC etc or else those schools athletics would cease to exist.
-
Lynch was an awful receuiter. At least Wilson can pull in a couple 4 star players. Lynch never had a single one. Sudfeld was the first IU had probably ever.
-
This will be his 5th year. We've been one of the worst at defense every year. Nothing has gotten better. There aren't even flashes of good defense. When we held Bowling Green to 10 a couple years ago it was because they missed like 4 field goals. This coaching staff has one year left if they don't go to a bowl. It would have ended last year if not for Sudfeld getting hurt.
-
I don't know why I'd go to a PU board. I like watching IU football... at times. But they're just really bad. Really really bad. We need a big time coach. Western Michigan has that really young coach that's being talked about.
-
Indiana will always be bad at football. They'll have to bring in a big time coach to change it.
-
We "should" be 4-0. I won't be surprised if WKU hangs 50 on us and we lose. I won't be surprised if we lose Wake as well.
-
Well we are losers. Really all there is to it. Worst football program in D-1 history.
-
We are playing Western Kentucky though. So that'll sadly be a tough win to get.
-
The unreachable number for IU football. But it looks like Indiana is going to have to go into B1G play at 4-0. We have to beat Purdue. Then we have 7 games to win just one. Will it even be able to happen? How much can our defense step up in our DC's 2nd year? Big and possibly last year for Kevin Wilson.
