No matter what happens with our coaching situation I really hope Morgan is back next season. I really enjoy watching him play -
Bobby Knight "I Hope they're all dead" comments

I wish he would come back to AH, but if he doesn't want to then who cares. It's his life. He will forever be connected to IU and will probably be the first person anyone thinks about when thinking about Indiana basketball for a long long time and that's pretty cool. -
"Indiana's half court offense has been a train wreck". Pretty much sums up the past 9 years

Exactly how I feel. Don't want to put cart before horse. I'm still not certain Crean isn't back. Ugh I'm a negative Nancy -
IU vs Michigan Game Thread - Sunday 2/12 @ 1:00 ET

So I'm just insane correct? I keep watching IU basketball games expecting a different outcome -
Totally agree here. I don't want to see us lose ever but I understand why others do. It's quite the conundrum really. On a side note I was looking back at some IU basketball cards I had from back in the day. The 92-93 team, which is my all time favorite team. There were 11 players on that team and 9 of which were from Indiana. I wish we could hire someone that would dominate in state recruiting again.
-
Obviously IU has been on such a roll with great hires
-
The interactions I have had with him have been positive. Granted it's not like I know him or anything. I just do not see a lot of other coaches on people's wishlist coming to IU. Alford seems like a viable option. Although Collins to me would be a quality hire too.
-
Definitely aware more to coaching than just recruiting. Just my 2 cents. Maybe I'm being pessimistic but I just do not see a lot of the coaches I see others wanting actually coming to IU.
-
If a new coach is hired not everyone is going to be happy. There will be complaints about anyone unless it's Stevens maybe, but I don't see him coming to IU or any other college program soon. He has got a good thing going in Boston and is just getting started. I feel like Alford is the best option. I just believe it would be great for him and IU. He's recruiting lights out at UCLA and could see him doing the same here.
-
I'm on team Alford at this point. I know some aren't fans but he's won everywhere he has been. I think it would be good for the program and fan base to have an IU guy at the helm. Maybe I'm wrong but I think if IU asks then he would come.
-
I've been a big supporter of Crean. In fact I was even hopeful IU would hire him after Davis resigned. I am thankful for the work that he has done, but obviously he has taken this program as far as he can. We have seen how this movie ends. Underachieve then overachieve. His best teams have some quality wins and are fun to watch but his worst teams are pretty pitiful to watch. The final product is the same though. They all end with a feeling of what could have been. It doesn't take a great basketball mind to see this program is trending in the wrong direction. There is no doubt in my mind though Crean will recover with an overachieving team and make to the sweet 16 again, but like I said we have seen how this ends. Time for a change
-
I'm also ready for a change. Think outside the box. Been thinking inside the box since 1995.

How far back did the screen test? Maybe he was below the cutoff level. Just because he passed doesn't mean he didn't use. Also, I have a hard time believing he was completely innocent here. IMHO too much smoke (lol) for there not to be some fire
-
The sarcasm jumped off my screen with this one lol. I like it. Anyway sports is all a hype machine now so I don't blame a kid for hyping up his name some whether he is staying or going. I'm really ok no matter what he does. If he stays at IU then the team benefits but if he turns pro I mean you can't really blame anyone for that.

RoJo played quite a bit at pg and Yogi was off the ball. Yogi leaving would not be ideal but I don't think the season would be an automatic disaster

Is Gottfried a good coach? I can't tell. Seem to struggle during season but play better in ACC tournament and NCAA tournament.

My childhood idol. I remember watching BNL on tv in the state championship. Still one of my prized possessions is an autographed picture. His career at IU probably wasn't what people thought it would be but he was a really strong player at IU. On my short list of favorite players ever.
