  Again, what’s your point? He screwed the pooch on this one, and deserves to be beaten up. This is his program, and he’s messed it up. Yeah, he pulled us out of the mess that Sampson created, what good did it do to let it fall back into a similar state.

  Yogi is the guy that Crean set up as the leader on this team. The only two upper classmen with any chops at all are Yogi and Hanner. With have had issues with alcohol and the law.   Crean is at fault here for not dealing with the Hanner, Yogi, Stanford and Holt/Davis issues. Now we have Troy and Stanford with drug test failure, too.    And Crean screwed up the opportunity to make a statement to this team. Suspend them for 2 exhibition games and 2 cupcakes. That will show them.

  He should be. He’s fumbled this whole situation much worse than anyone could imagine. He is an embarrassment to MY university. 

  You have to earn respect. And you have to work to keep that respect. Crean is a joke, and it’s becoming evident.    The effects of this will be far reaching. If you are the parent of a highly-rated, coveted player who is considering IU, how can you believe that Tom Crean is "the guy" to whom you will trust your son's future? Is this the kind of "father figure" you want for your kid?      In the very least, Tom Crean has effectively neutered himself with this turn of events.

  I agree. I see Stan as one who simply won’t change. He’s been involved with both underage alcohol and drugs. What a fine, upstanding ambassador for the Hoosier basketball program he’s turned out to be.   Until Crean puts some teeth in these "punishments", the behavior will not change. 

  This, in and of itself, is a joke. No player will take missing 2 exhibition games and games against such basketball powerhouses as Mississippi Valley State and Texas Southern as serious punishment.   As Dakich says, the players keep score. They know.   And they continue in the behavior that is destructive to both themselves and the storied Hoosier program.
