When You've Lost The Locker Room

Sorry, not scared. You said, "I may be in the minority, but I hate weed." You are, and it shouldn't matter our even have been brought up. As CampHoosier pointed out, liking and disliking it is irrelevant, at least until it becomes legal. What is relevant, is how popular it is among people the age of our players. So, flexing the "big fish in a little pond mod muscle" is as pointless as either of our opinions on pot. I only agree with one thing you said, and that's, "I will stop, don't want to derail this thread.". I will stop now...

When You've Lost The Locker Room

Let's not even talk about Sampson and failed drug tests. With one notable exception, that entire team was stoned daily. I'd love to see the actual results of this tests. And let's not forget that almost all of that batch of stoners transferred and played in other division I programs. Interesting that they weren't failing drug tests there too.

When You've Lost The Locker Room

Failed drug tests mean dick. I could give you a mile long list of Knight's players who smoked regularly, at least two of whom put joints, pipes, or bongs into my hands. But we're not talking about an isolated incident. Cream has to stop the bleeding now, and I'm pretty certain that he's smart enough to know that. The only question is, can he get it across to them or not? No one wanted to see Devin hurt, but maybe, just maybe, this accident will wake our kids up. If it doesn't, and Cream can't help them connect the dots, then and only then, should he be labeled as a failed teach and shown the door. They are kids. We all made the same mistakes, and pointing out that they represent us, is hypocrisy in a way. Glass houses people...Glass houses.

Stop with the fire Wilson nonsense

I agree with 90% of your post. However, the QB situation IS Wilson's fault, 100%. What's the record for consecutive games, without a starting QB being named until game time? I'm not sure either, but I bet that Wilson holds it. You can only play that game for so long, before the kids get sick of it and transfer. Love him or hate him, he horribly mishandled that situation, and the result is our "one QB" team.

    Time to Remove Fred Glass.

Until a spate of bad luck hit IU, costing us two of the best coaches at IU, Glass was building IU athletics up as never before.  Since I find it hard to blame him for Tracy Smith and/or Curt Miller, I'd still say he's doing an excellent job.  This situation may well be his first true test as an AD.  Calling for his removal BEFORE seeing how things progress is overly reactionary and narrow-minded.  In the very near future, he has to deal with major issues in two of biggest the "money programs," football & basketball.  His legacy will be how he handles those situations.  Oh, and to the short-sighted out there, let's not forget that our current AD walked away from a ton of money to take this "dream job."  For anyone who pays attention, that's a parallel path to the one that Brad Stevens to to get into basketball, the man who I've always thought was the best fit for Indiana Basketball, walking away from 6 figures at Eli Lilly to get into coaching.  Ease off on Glass and give him a chance to do his job.  If he drops the ball on these two major issues, then I'll be right there with you, calling for his resignation....not not yet...
