I hate Mike Woodson so much

I don’t disagree. But the IU administration’s expectations are the only reason it’s not a fireable offense. NCAA tournament appearances should be the bare minimum at IU, not gold stars that get you a million dollar raise. Mike Davis got fired right after making the round of 32.

1 tournament win in three years and a 31-29 conference record is 100% fireable at a real basketball school. You think you’re getting a fourth year at Duke, kansas, etc. with that?

The difference having a real coach makes.

IU gets a bad rap on the recruiting circuit because its coach rarely shows up and can’t remember names when he does.

Howard went to an elite eight and a sweet 16. He won an outright big ten championship. Heck, last year he went 11-9 in the Big Ten, only one game worse than Woodson’s gold star of a season with TJD and JHS. Yet they’re firing him after five years because he’s clearly not the answer. Heck, Howard had more success as a player at Michigan than Woodson had at IU, yet Michigan wasn’t afraid to fire him. Unfortunately, IU won’t do the same.

Michigan, Louisville, and Ohio State all open. We’re stuck with another year (at minimum) with Mediocre Mike. WTF are we doing @QuinnB(BOT)(Perfectin76) ??

It’s just basic human decency. Like there’s no reason to be a jerk for the hell of it. Woody thinks he’s a king and everybody else is his subject (even though they’re better at their jobs than he is at his).

Woody doesn’t care enough to dig in and identify diamonds in the rough. Takes too much effort. Look at his high school recruiting. He just goes after the same top players as everyone else (and then goes 0-31).

Does any non-affiliated person actually believe that keeping Woodson is best for the program?

I’ll feel excitement when Mike Woodson is gone. He’s just very, very hard for me to root for.
