Oh he'll absolutely be missed. He's not a good defender, but no one on this team is. He's about the only one who can make up for it on offense. The 2015-16 team had Yogi, Max, Troy, Nick, and Hartman, that's why he wasn't missed that much. We have no one like them coming in. Next year's team will miss him dearly.

Take TB off the team we watched get handled by Northwestern and that's basically our team next year. Maybe worse depending on transfers. There's no reason to bring him back when you look at the team we'll have, surely Fred Glass sees that.

That would be nice but this is a good start, imo. The more people we can get to say "wow this team still has a lot of talented players on it even after injuries, there's no way they should be this bad" the better. Once we get their attention I think they'll look more closely at our season and see that things went to crap before anyone got hurt.

A beatdown would make for a long week off for Crean. I could see more and more talking heads adding fire to his hot seat if we go up there and lose by 15+, especially if our guys look like they've turned on him.

Any chance Crean gets fired if we go to Minnesota Wednesday night and get beat down? We have nearly a week after it before our next game. Plenty of time for an interim coach to get settled in. Plz Fred plz.

It seems like he realizes the OG and JBJ injuries aren't giving him enough wiggle room so he wants everyone to know how injuried the rest of the guys are too.

I don't think Stevens is a realistic possibility, at least not right now, but I think Donovan is more realistic. His team is meh right now and if Westbrook leaves then they'll be very bad. The situation he's in now isn't the one he thought he was leaving Florida for. It's still a long shot, but I think the chance is there.

I find it kind of strange that that's the case instead of the other way around. I get being loyal to a guy who stayed loyal to you, but it would be much better for his career if he could develop at IU without Crean.

Probably. It seems unnecessary to me but there are probably $$ reasons for it.

I really hope they don't make a move to four 10 minute quarters. I think having two halves is part of what makes college basketball unique.

How common is it for an AD to miss a home basketball game? I'm sure there's an explanation for Glass not being there yesterday but I was wondering if hes usually always there.

I doubt he actually believes the things he says. He's a professional troll, basically. He knows what will get him an audience, and supporting Crean today will bring in a ton of listeners.

IU basketball since 2011. 2 big ten championships and 7 years of not finishing higher than 5th since he got here. The national guys saying "but he won the conference last year" don't get that we want him gone because of the instability of his program. 2011: 11th2012: 5th2013: 1st2014: T8th2015: 7th2016: 1st2017: 10th (proj)

If I had acted like him during games when I was a little kid I probably would've been grounded before I could fasten my seatbelt for the ride home. If Crean was serious about wanting Bryant to be a leader he would've stopped his antics a long time ago.
