  1. I know he gets a lot of hate but I honestly like Grayson Allen. Sure he has had a few bad moments, but he's passionate, plays with fire, and doesn't get in trouble off the court.

    Archie Miller Press Tour 2017

You weren't joking. Goodman pulled no punches and said a lot of the things that we had been saying about Crean the past few years.

    (2018) SG Austin Boucher

Just checked it out, thanks. Here's the clip.
  4. jnewkirk1 on snapchat if anyone is interested in checking it out. It's cool seeing all the guys together having a good time. With everything I've seen on social media the past month or so it looks like we're going to have great team chemistry next season.
  5. Gelon is LIT right now at Josh Newkirk's birthday party. I keep waiting to see Archie show up with the pizza for everyone.

The Cavs can't maintain a lead worth a crap.

I just checked out his stats, he averaged 0.7 made 3s per game for his career. I had always thought of him as a three point shooter based on the way people would talk about him and stuff. Crazy. I've never really liked Bird because I think his game was boring, so I'm biased, but that's a take I can get on board with.

This is wild. Shows how much the game has changed.

    2018 Recruiting Class

Archie is gonna mess around and get four of the top five instate players in the 2018 class. In all seriousness though if he can get two of those four he'll be off to a great start.

    2018 Recruiting Class

I want a true center that can backup Davis and then take over once he's gone. I want 2-3 guards, with one being a four year guy and one or two being 5 star talents that can come in and start right away. Then to round it out I want a wing or two that can add length and athleticism. I know that doesn't exactly add up to 5, but I'll have to see how the team looks next year before deciding on specifics. I know I want a good mix of 5/high 4 star talent and 4 year players though.
  11. If we only have room for one of the two I hope we get Bryant back. I have nothing against JBJ and I would love for him to come back for his senior year, but I think TB is the one that's more likely to buy-in to Archie's system. He seems like a kid that really wants to be coached and I think he was done a disservice last year by whoever decided to turn him into a wing. Plus we would have a lot of frontcourt depth if he came back which is always nice.
  12. Strength probably won't ever be a big part of his game but in one of the more recent pictures of him it looks like he's put on a little bit of mass. With a summer or two in Bloomington he should be fine from a physical standpoint.
  13. All 3 recruits seem to be saying the same thing about their meetings with Archie. He doesn't care if what he says isn't what you want to hear, he's gonna keep it real. I think the guys all like that.
  14. We went from not really being on his list, or at least that's how it seemed, to having his dad's college coach/family friend on our staff. Good stuff. It doesn't get much better than that when it comes to building a relationship with a recruit.

I swear I'm not trying to bring LeBron back up haha but he did it his rookie year at age 18/19.
  16. I've been away all evening so I'm just now seeing the news. This is great stuff, I wasn't expecting Moore to stick with us. Archie was able to get three guys he didnt have relationships with to reaffirm their commitments when they could've picked from a number of different schools. He also convinced Collin to come back after he seemed like he was well on his way to moving on with his life. I might be jumping the gun, but I feel really good about Archie being able to recruit at a high enough level to compete for big ten and national championships.

I don't like the whining but until the NBA does something about it there's no reason to stop. If the refs were to stop rewarding players for doing it I think you'd see players stop whining as often.

Draymond kicks dudes every game. He's gonna hurt someone eventually. If I was LeBron or any other superstar really I would sic my team's goon on him to send a message. LeBron can't retaliate or lose his cool because he'll get suspended. No one cares if guy #13 on the bench gets suspended. It's like when the Cavs sent Kendrick Perkins after a Celtics player a couple years ago after they separated Love's shoulder.

Yeah that's true, I should've been more specific. I was meaning more along the lines of the traditional 'back to the basket' big guys that we used to see a lot of in the past. With the way the game has changed with teams shootings more threes and stuff we see that less often. Centers are more likely to go out and play along the perimeter in today's game.

I've never liked Kobe and always thought he was overrated, but I think that was because I liked Shaq and took his side in their beef. Speaking of Shaq, I hate that there aren't really any dominant big guys in the NBA anymore.
  21. It'll be interesting to see if he tries the D League and hopes for a Troy/Yogi like outcome or if he takes the overseas money and runs. His family is pretty well off so I could see him doing the former and hoping to fulfill a lifelong dream.
  22. That's tough. Is Bryant's impact next year higher than Moore's over his entire career? Moore has the potential to be great in college, but it's all potential. We already know what Bryant can give us. My biggest concern with Moore is that he's really skinny, but it looks like he's putting on some mass. I think I'd rather have TB, but it's a tough choice.

I wish I could've seen Michael Jordan in real time. I watched him when he was finishing up with the Wizards but that wasn't the same obviously. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.businessinsider.com/lebron-james-michael-jordan-nba-rest-2017-3 This was what I meant with mileage though. He's already played more minutes in his career than Jordan did. So much of Lebron's game is centered around his athleticism so he can't go all out every night anymore or else he'll burn out before the season is over. The only thing that matters for his legacy at this point is rings, and the only way he wins any more of them is if he goes through the regular season in cruise control. I'm interested to see how his game changes as his athleticism declines and he enters the tailend of his career.

The Pacers always seem to play LeBron tough and George always plays well against him. I think the Cavs win game 2 and then lose one in Indy. I'm expecting a 5 game series but I expect every game to be competitive.

Indeed. I've got a victory to celebrate though [emoji14] I hope they can finish this series quickly because the Pacers worry me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
