Universities are supposed to be apolitical but let's be real, they have pushed one side's political agenda for decades. Sage is professional and very passionate about Indiana University. I'm glad she has chosen to take on this role.

We are 100% headed toward a world where someone burns out of the NBA or Euro League but wants to keep making money playing basketball, so returning to college is the best option. I can see it now. Zach Edey lasts little more than 4 years in the league, but decides college basketball is still an attractive and viable option. "You're interfering with my ability to make a living" will be his argument while he sues the NCAA and enrolls in school and signs a $2M NIL deal. Talk me down from the ledge.

Loves IU as much as everyone else on this board. I wish him nothing but success in life, glad he was able to get life changing money as an undergrad. But he has officially maxed out what he can offer IU basketball.

We've beaten out Kentucky, Gonzaga, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Maryland for portal transfers this year. That's just off the top of my head. All of these programs have been better than ours the past 5-10 years. Snagged a reserve player from the national champions. If Tucker Devries wasn't related to our head coach, he would have been able to pick any school in the country to go to. Yeah we've got cash, but we are not some outlier program that has gobs of money to outbid every program for any target we want especially when we have 12 spots to fill. Every school has money.

Needed? No, probably not. I still want him on our roster. He's got leadership potential on next year's team, plus he fits the mold Devries looks for in that he can do one thing really well (shooting). Remember him acting like the adult after the Maryland game, instructing Woodson to shake hands? We have 5 spots to fill, I see no reason he couldn't be one of those.

Love it, especially that he has multiple years of eligibility remaining. Devries is getting his roster. Let's go.

I was always impressed by Federiko of TTU when I watched them this past season. It was surprising to see him in the portal, he seemed to be quite a favorite of the team and fans. He certainly looks the part of a rim protector.

My #1 preference now is the UCF 7 footer but would gladly take Leo Curtis. Feels like the former would be more of the rim protector we need.

UK board seems pretty confident on Wilkerson now, evidently they got an update from someone they trust. No idea how reliable that person is. Regardless I like the fact he made his visit and left without committing. Apparently per Trilly we have outbid them by $500K.

Is Wilkerson done with his UK official visit? It would be good to know if he also left that visit without committing.

It's funny perusing Rupp Rafters to gauge UK sentiment on Wilkerson right now. Most seem to think he's going to IU.

This is why I never got excited when Trilly predicted Wilkerson to IU. We'll fill a roster, plenty of guys still out there. But missing on Conway and this kid who we clearly wanted badly is not good.

Hoping for good news. Really don't want him taking his other visits.
