Me too, but a win tonight could get me right back to where I was before. We NEED to beat UNC, Butler, and Louisville to make up for that loss. I may be getting greedy, but we gotta win this to be taken seriously again.

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but does this mean we essentially turn it over on 1 out of every 4 possessions? I'm just unclear if kenpom uses anything else to come up with the turnover rate. If so, that's hideous. Imagine how many more shots or free throws we could make if we brought that number down just a little.

If this year ends with a deep tournament run (Elite 8 or better) and doing well in the B1G, I can live with that. As long as our "down year" still results in getting invited to the tournament and being competitive in the B1G , I'm ok with a down year once in a while. Making the tournament has to be the standard though. As long as we make good tournament runs past the Sweet 16, and are winning conference championships, I can stomach a year where we get a 7-8 seed in the NCAA tournament and a 6th place finish in the B1G.

I'd be really happy if somehow he ended up back at IU if OG leaves after this year.

Yeah, sad face. This is why when people were giddy with excitement a month ago talking about having enough room for a class with Wilkes, Waters, and Preston, or any combination of 2 of the three, I was taking more of a wait-and-see approach. It reminded me of 2014 when a lot of fans thought our class was going to consist of at least 2 of James Blackmon, Trey Lyles, Cliff Alexander, and Tyus Jones. It's never as good as we think it's going to be unfortunately. It's highly likely we're going to sign one more kid in the spring that we've never even heard of yet. But hey, we should focus more on the fact we have a hell of a team this year, rather than worry about our recruiting.

Until Tremont Waters actually shows up on Georgetown's campus, I'm still holding out hope we land him in the end. I know he's already signed, but I don't care. Thompson is getting fired this year because Georgetown is terrible. He was already on the hot seat to begin with which is why he felt the need to "retool the offense" to keep people optimistic, but it clearly isn't working. They're currently 1-2 with home losses to an ok Maryland team and Arkansas State. They also play Oregon tomorrow and should lose that game too, paving the way for 2 straight seasons of being left out of the NCAA tournament. Fingers crossed.
