(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
AKHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I believe the Langfords when they say a decision hasn't been made yet, but it's discouraging to me how he seems to be closer to Darius than any of the other IU recruits. -

Well that went about as well as it could have for Vandy, which is unfortunate. Hopefully we get one last time to host him, whether it's for a game or not. -

What didn't you like? I wasn't discouraged by that at all actually. -

Unfortunately there was a "Romeo Langord" chant a little bit ago. They know he's there. -

This Vandy/UF game feels like a weak high school environment. It could probably get better if Vandy was good I suppose. They just look so poorly coached and out of sync. -

I just hope we play well and don't have a letdown game. We've made so much progress lately. -
Well so much for Purdue having no bad losses. They can probably kiss a #1 seed goodbye, but I guess there's still a lot of bball left to be played. Their resume just isn't that great for a 1 seed.

I agree I think Crean is clean, but I'm still a bit worried about some of his assistants. Chuck Martin was the lead recruiter for John Calipari and recruited Derrick Rose. Kenny Johnson coached at University-6. Nervous, man.

I get the overwhelming feeling that Coach K is going to come down hard. We'll learn the real reason top one-and-done guys started rolling in to Durham, and it wasn't because Duke became "cool again."

Multiple sources who’ve been briefed on the case and are familiar with the material obtained by feds told Yahoo Sports that the impact on the sport will be substantial and relentless. Sitting under protective order right now are the fruits of 330 days of monitoring activity by the feds, which one assistant US Attorney noted Thursday was “a voluminous amount of material.” That includes wiretaps from 4,000 intercepted calls and thousands of documents and bank records obtained from raids and confiscated computers, including those from notorious NBA agent Andy Miller. “This goes a lot deeper in college basketball than four corrupt assistant coaches,” said a source who has been briefed on the details of the case. “When this all comes out, Hall of Fame coaches should be scared, lottery picks won’t be eligible to play and almost half of the 16 teams the NCAA showed on its initial NCAA tournament show this weekend should worry about their appearance being vacated.” Ho. Lee. ***.

Haha well now I'm going to be upset when tomorrow passes and Romeo doesn't commit to IU. -
(2019) PG DJ Carton to Ohio State
AKHoosier replied to KDB's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Cool, we obviously want a PG in the 2019 class then. I like it. -
Yeah I think at one point they had the 2 worst schedule in the entire country. I think they were 12-1 and are now 15-10, something like that.

Good fit for Crean imo.

Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers

We're replacing Curtis Jones, Robert Johnson, and Josh Newkirk with Robert Phinisee as of now. Per a recent interview, Hunter has already been told he's a 3. The plan may be for Damezi to be a 2 eventually, but he won't be ready next year. We need another guard for shooting, even if we end up getting Romeo. I'd like this pickup a lot. -

You are definitely not an alpha. Bank it. -
I thought it was ridiculous too until I found out he's a Kentucky native. It's pretty believable.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
AKHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yep, but I had a pessimistic thought about this, that he is going out of his way to be nice and gracious to soften the blow of him not picking IU, but he still wants Indiana to love him. -
Lots of solid games on tonight. God I love college bball season.

I mean, he's taken literally thousands of pictures with fans over the past few months. The vast majority of those being IU fans I imagine, who have been wearing IU gear. -

It's nice to see our team improve during February, I feel like that didn't happen very often the past few years. -

Yikes, I didn't know Bob Knight said Bailey's career was a disappointment. Thanks for the share though -

Heck of a first half by Green. Love seeing the results to match his confidence. This color commentator is f'ing awful. I have no idea who he is but I can't take it. -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
AKHoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Figures, we're probably going to lose out to UCLA for this kid. I hate being a pessimist in regards to IU recruiting, but getting Romeo first would go a long way to being optimistic.
