After I get over the disappointment and tepid anger at today, I take solace in the fact it's not like we're without a point guard in the 2018 class. I can't wait to follow Phinisee this year, and am excited to see him develop at IU.

Same thing with the IU mod on Rivals. He was promised by Winston no one would know the pick before him. He was driving to Nashville this morning when the story broke, but turned back around when learned of the decision. Winston played IU for fools.

According to the knowledgeable KU fans on the Rivals national board, they have no shot with Langford. None of them are even suggesting he could commit to Kansas.

If we need anything on this team, it's an elite PG. Garland would probably make a bigger impact than Kyrie Irving would have made on that '09 team.

Yeah this is the most glaring problem imo. I started getting concerned when we fell behind by 20, looking at our roster wondering who the guy to bring us back would be. That's when I realized there just isn't one. No Yogi, no Blackmon, no Bryant, not even a Troy Williams instant offense type of player. We just don't have a go-to offensive player right now. And it doesn't help that our defense is really bad.

Our roster just isn't very good. Granted we're better than a team that gets blown out at home to Indiana State, but we just don't have enough guys right now. I don't think Hartman is going to make that much of a difference. We'll get better eventually, and when we do, the roster is going to look a LOT different than it currently does.

Yeah I agree. And furthermore I'm starting to wish that Robert Johnson didn't play at Indiana, or for Indiana.

There has to be something wrong with Robert Johnson. Does he just not care or something? You could understand the second half of last season because of the way it was going, but my goodness. It looks like he just doesn't know how to play or care to be out there.

Hahaha for real. Is there anything tangible to come out, or are people just assuming he can't be headed to IU since he's announcing next Wednesday night from his school? I'm sure there are plenty of players who have announced at their high school for other teams than their hometown school. Harrison Barnes, for example, held his announcement ceremony at his high school, and everyone thought that meant he was going to Iowa State, but obviously ended up at UNC.

I'm not discouraged at all by that. He still feels IU could be the pick, as his selection remains IU on his crystal ball. All he really said was the sources are quiet now. That could mean anything.

Will make a point to catch some Riley games this year when I go home to visit the parents in South Bend. So excited he's a Hoosier.
