That is nuts. If a program can win 2 national championships the last 3 years with those recruiting classes, they probably have the best coach in America.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
AKHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Thank God. I'm so ready for this recruitment to be over. -
Coaches K, Roy and Izzo retire next year who replaces them?
AKHoosier replied to MikeRoberts's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I doubt those schools would all want to make a hire in the same year. There's only so many qualified coaches to go around. That said, I'm guessing a former Duke player will take over for K, maybe Fife at MSU, and I have no idea at UNC. -
Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers
AKHoosier replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Damn, it's good news for us but I also don't want Purdue to get Ryan Taylor either. If they end up with him they could be pretty good next year with him and Boudreaux. Dang it I want them to take a step back. -
Let them. Never been very good at it. Not scared.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
AKHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yeah and that's the frustrating part. We're so far from where we want to be, which is a perennially top 10-15 team competing for Final 4s. I'm confident Archie can get us there, but it's not going to happen overnight. Even with Romeo on the roster. -

He did grow up a UL fan though. And Louisville isn't any farther away today than it was when he dropped them from consideration. I just can't help but feel he'll at least be willing to hear Mack's pitch. -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
AKHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Yeah most likely. I feel like we'll be watching them in the Final 4 in his second year against yet another mid-major who somehow manages to get farther than us. -
Moyer to Transfer from Cuse
AKHoosier replied to HOOsier Thunder's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He'd be a good addition, but we probably don't want to be taking away a scholarship for a 2019 big. -

So apparently Immanuel Quickly, who is Romeo's good friend and going to Kansas, guessed Romeo will go to Vanderbilt. He admitted he's just guessing though. -
I can't believe how long it's been since we've been to a Final 4. Hell, even the Elite 8. The painful reality that sets in every year while watching the tournament.

We'll have a battle for Ryan Taylor, so hopefully he is partial to staying in state. Since he's from Gary, I hope he doesn't go up to Purdue either. -

Hanner Perea absolutely did not dominate in high school. He had monster dunks, but I don't think he even averaged double-digit points his senior year. Hollowell and Patterson didn't either really. They were good scorers, but "dominate" is a bit of a strong word. I get your point though. Not much can be taken out of highlight videos. They're just for show. -
Yep I used to have this same thing, except it was on my Samsung phone. So I pretty much just stopped using the mobile version unfortunately.

(2018) G/F Damezi Anderson to Detroit Mercy
AKHoosier replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
FWIW hearing that Damezi didn't practice all week. He's been sick. That would explain the slump in production. -

Wow, very intriguing. Wouldn't mind adding that kind of size and shooting ability to next year's team. -
(2018) G/F Damezi Anderson to Detroit Mercy
AKHoosier replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just 6 points today, would have liked to see him come up bigger today. He'll be a good player for us in a few years, but he won't be ready next year. He's billed as being a shooter but he doesn't seem to take great shots all the time. I really hope we get Romeo + a grad transfer Sanford from Toledo or Taylor from Evansville. -

That's a rough way for Romeo's career to end. Ugh hopefully Riley wins now, I really don't want 2 Indy teams to square off in the state final. -
So glad the upset finally happened, and it felt awesome to watch it, but.... I just wish it could have happened to a different team like Duke, UNC, UK, etc. UVA seems like they have good kids, 4 year players unlike those aforementioned schools. We were watching it at my house and just felt bad for Virginia.

Wow, Zona down 13 now. If they lose this, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sean Miller bolt for Pitt.
-
Well if Texas Tech loses my bracket is completely trashed. Davidson, Miami, South Dakota State all going down have hurt me.

Tom Crean to be next Georgia coach / 6 year 3.2 Million annually
AKHoosier replied to iubb's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Very happy for him, and I hope he does well. It'll be interesting to see how he goes about recruiting down there, as the ATL can get a bit murky from what I've read. I'll be rooting for him. -
What if Crean lands at Pitt? I'd be willing to bet who our ACC/B1G Challenge would be at some point over the next 2 years.

I think he's just waiting to have a clearer picture of what rosters will look like next year. I'm starting to think it's more IU/Kansas than Vandy personally. -
So now the season is officially over. I wonder when the offseason news starts for us now. In the past, the day after Selection Sunday would often be the day when a transfer or two were announced.
