I recently listened to an interview Matt Norlander had with Woodson and he just flat out exudes not having any energy. Maybe some of it had to do with the sound, but man did he just sound frail and weak. Now imagine you're a kid being recruited by him, or are in the locker room expecting to get fired up by your head coach. I just don't see it.

Oh I definitely agree. I don't think he would get fired after going to the Sweet 16. Just that if that's as high as his ceiling goes with this roster, that's not enough to quiet the Fire Mike Woodson crowd.

If this roster only makes the Sweet 16 then the calls for him to be fired will be even louder than last season.

Man, what a bummer if we lose out on him but I don't blame him one bit. Hopefully someone or something tugs on his heartstrings over the next 12 days, and he decides he just can't bear the thought of not playing for IU when he has the chance. I can't shake the feeling Woodson is about to get cucked in his own backyard. We have lost out on so many shooters from the state going back to the late Crean years. So frustrating.

Pretty amazing where we are, and how quickly fortunes can change. Cignetti is making it look easy. My expectations have always been that IU just gets to a bowl game. All I've ever wanted is to look forward to watching IUFB during that week between Christmas and New Year's, when not much else is going on. At this point our floor is probably 8 wins, and that's being conservative.

Yep. NIL or the lack thereof is the primary reason he left Penn State. He would kill it here in recruiting with our budget and talent pool.

Disappointed, although for some reason I just never thought we'd get him after he transferred to La Lumiere. I've always thought if we'd get 2 from the group of Sisley, Mullins, Reibe, or Haralson I'd be satisfied.

Shrewsberry isn't in my top 3 but he is up there. The W/L record isn't great, but his teams clearly get better over the course of his tenure. He just hasn't been anywhere longer than like 3 years.

So pumped! Love this kid. I love even more getting a highly rated in state kid that Purdue had also been prioritizing. Can't shake the feeling the 2025 class is going to be amazing.
