If you said the names we could discuss the names.

Yeah for a few weeks I've thought that I don't need to see a bracket. Florida will be my pick. They're not really a sleeper though when they're a 1 seed and clearly one of the best teams in the country.
-
Goodness. 8 on 5. No way UM hangs on at this rate.
-
It's simple. Painter now has the benefit of the doubt with the B1G officials. Get used to it, they'll rinse and repeat with this stuff every year no matter who their primary big is.
-
Well it's an easy call if you ask Robbie Hummel. Seriously did they not see Trey Kaufman grab and hold Goldin's arm?
-
Right. Woodson turned down an NIT invite last year. Zero chance he's coaching in the worthless Crown event.
-
LOL we're going to be left with whoever Iowa doesn't want, despite effectively having gotten rid of our coach a month ago.
-
I am all aboard the Huss train if we strike out on our top targets like Stevens, May, Few, Donovan (lol). His resume is impressive, I think he's got a very high ceiling. Initially I wrote him off because I hadn't really heard of him, but he could be a major steal.

https://x.com/GaryParrishCBS/status/1900318313848209714?t=Iw0qHIbkreZxA8SrIU2j1A&s=19 The national media types are really hammering this "IU fans are toxic" narrative and it's irritating the hell out of me.

Lord help us. 3000 pages by noon now.

My question is if UNC beats Duke, how much does that improve UNC's chance of making the tournament? Does the committee factor in injured players to the equation?

2025 B1G Mens Basketball Tournament
AKHoosier replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Man what a great slate of B1G games today. -
Bro if you're not entertained by all this then I feel sorry for you.

Good lord coaching searches are fun.
-
Ugh. Just when I thought the vibes were getting better, we're back to McCollum vs Collins vs Brownell. It'll be an interesting couple days. Glad we have the conference tournaments to distract us.
-
When people mention Wade, what immediately comes to mind is how he responded to the allegations against him by a reporter during a postgame press conference. Smirks, shrugs it off and says "tell it to the judge". Dude is the definition of slime. I don't want him anywhere near our program. Even in the era where everything is legal, he is probably still finding ways to cheat.
-
I'm just ready to start supporting and following our new coach. I legit don't even care who it is anymore. (Just not Brownell please).
-
So let's make a spinoff thread of this spinoff thread. Call it whatever you want, and the people who don't want him as a candidate can use this thread. Whether you like it or not, some people on this site think he should be considered. Since there is really no information leaking and people don't have access to what's happening behind the scenes, how can he be ruled out until a new coach is announced by the university?
-
Because that is not public information. Everything at this point is conjecture and rumor. Why not just allow people to hope he is a candidate?
-
If you gave any average coach 16 years at Clemson, he would likely have the same type of results Brownell has had. 53% conference win percentage, 60% overall. 4 NCAA Tournament appearances with 2 Sweet 16s and 1 Elite 8. That's nothing special at all. Certainly nothing there to indicate he's going to have greater success with greater resources.
-
I still have Fox Sports on in the background waiting for the news to drop.
-
I would be absolutely floored if our next coach hasn't been announced by March 24, when the portal opens. The only way nothing is announced is if we're still playing, which would mean we'd be in the Sweet 16. Seems highly unlikely we make it past the first weekend especially if we begin in the First 4 in Dayton.
-
I'm gonna need someone to verify if that's all true. If so let's ride.
-
Ed Schilling is the head coach of Pepperdine. Wow. Haven't seen that name in forever, just assumed he would have cycled out by now.

I called this before the season even started, pretty sure I got the exact record right of 19-12 and said we'd be a bubble team. Gary Parrish and Norlander's podcast previewed Indiana before the season began and they both took the over on 22.5 regular season wins. I immediately took the under on it. You're right though. I sure hope the next coach starts to exceed expectations around here. When was the last time we surpassed pre-season expectations? How many times in the last 10 years?
