2023 SF/PF Mackenzie Mgbako to INDI-F’N-ANA
AKHoosier replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Agreed. With all the ridiculous bloat most universities have these days, they've got money to burn. So why not let the ones that are able to spend money on recruits make that choice? -
2023 SF/PF Mackenzie Mgbako to INDI-F’N-ANA

Isn't Louisville going to suck again next year? Their best player transferred to Arkansas. I know money talks, but showcasing your talent on a winning team while getting paid would have to trump an even bigger payday on an awful team. I'd understand if he felt differently though. -
That's what happens when you aren't as good as Brandon Miller.
-
I don't understand the UT success this offseason. UT averaged like 45 points a game this year. They've always been known for defense since Barnes has been there. Always seems like these type of players break for "not us".
-
I'm confused, so help me understand. Your solution is to go after highly rated high school players? Isn't that what we're already doing, with varying degrees of success?
-
I've read on another board that Dickinson may return to Michigan. Not sure if that's old news though.
-
Would getting Catchings affect our pursuit of McNeeley or Newell? I'm betting we get one of those two.
-
This is way more likely to be in response to Anthony seeing all the college girls in short shorts, crop tops, sundresses, etc during 70+ degree weather. Ah, those were the days.

Why the f*** are they the Beacons now? I must have missed this. -
(C) Kel 'el Ware - COMMITTED TO INDIANA
AKHoosier replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Classic message board stuff. We get overly excited about potential lineups when recruits visit, basically think a commitment is in the bag, but it never pans out. Recruiting is like everything else in life - never as good as it seems, but also never as bad either. Unfortunately with us though, it's NEVER as good as it seems. -
(C) Kel 'el Ware - COMMITTED TO INDIANA
AKHoosier replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Wow, this would be huge. I say again if we get Ware and Ledlum, that roster will be just as good as any other in the B1G. -
Wow, if we get Ware and one of Knecht/Ledlum then I'd put that roster up against anyone in the B1G next year. I don't even need to see who anyone else adds.
-
Wonder if he considers Purdue given that they were in his final list a few years ago. A talented wing like him would make them a lot better.
-
So have we figured out if DeLoach is a 5? He'd have to be with our roster, right?
-
I would cry if I had to go to Purdue.

The portal was never going to be the fix most of us envisioned. I hate already feeling this salty but I can't help it. We're obviously not the type of program that eats first.
-
And that's IU now. We're an afterthought to people in their mid 20s today, at least on a national stage. People know we've got a history, like they know Notre Dame has a history, but we haven't been a good program during those people's lifetime. Everything is cyclical. It's the only thing that gives me hope we'll return to the level we all know we can be before I'm old and gray.
-
It just feels like we need to take a chance on Caleb Love because we need scoring. I'll see the benefit to missing out on him or landing him, whichever happens.
-
I'm happy for you.
-
I'd trade IU's history for UConn's in a second and not think twice about it. Especially if they win tomorrow. Yeah our 5 banners are nice, but I was alive for 1 of them. And I wasn't even 2 yet. It's nice to still be highly thought of and mentioned as a blue blood, but sometimes it makes me cringe. We haven't been past the Sweet 16 since 2002. That's not blue blood material.
-
Yes. I think UConn waxes Miami though.
-
I really feel like the rest of the B1G will hate Cupps as much as I hated Aaron Craft. I'm glad he's ours.
-
Caleb Love has 2 years left?! I've done a complete 180 on him. First I said no but now I hope we get him.
-
I think I prefer Shedrick over Ware, although the latter is getting more intriguing by the day. He seems like quite a defensive presence.
-
Worth mentioning with Caleb Love how resentment over NIL and rumors of players sleeping with other players' ex girlfriends played a role in locker room turmoil at UNC. Not sure what Love had to do with any of that, but maybe this is a case where change of scenery will do wonders.
