Worth mentioning with Caleb Love how resentment over NIL and rumors of players sleeping with other players' ex girlfriends played a role in locker room turmoil at UNC. Not sure what Love had to do with any of that, but maybe this is a case where change of scenery will do wonders.

Then why even bring it up if you don't want to share details?

Are any of those players good? I know nothing about St John's.

Can't shake this feeling either, that we'll compile a roster for the B1G rather than the NCAAT. Lots to happen first though, so I'll remain optimistic until dominoes start falling.

How much will the winner of Miami/UConn be favored by in the title game?

Dusty May - FAU HC - Former IU student manager
AKHoosier replied to ISP's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I definitely agree, I'd like to see more success for at least another year before we would ever hire him. Especially if he gets most of his starters back next season as expected. -

Dayton has a legit program though, with a history of good fan/administrative support. They always seem to have just enough to be competitive, but lack what it takes to get to that next level. What Dusty has accomplished is impressive. FAU has virtually none of that same support, no history of success, no NBA alum, etc. He has steadily built them up and is within arm's reach of a national title. -

At Florida freakin' Atlantic? -
Some programs just know how to win in March. UConn is one of those.

Add me to the list intrigued by Adam Howard's post. I can't help but see it as nothing more than a staff member expressing optimism about the future of IU basketball, but I choose to be excited there's something more.

Only thing I don't like is this FAU team seems to turn it over a bit much. 22 today. I need to actually look at the stats the last few years to see if it's indeed a trend. Regardless, can't argue with the winning. -
Kokomo Monster (2024) - C Flory Bidunga to Kansas

Feels like UK's late push and NIL arsenal will be tough to fight off. Hopefully the staff's work thus far will pay dividends. -
Coaching Changes Nationally

Plus, ND basketball facilities are among the worst in the country. Brey was a strong advocate for improving such facilities but was never successful. ND is not for everyone. The people making decisions there essentially have a $0/year income, no living expenses, and basically no material possessions. -

Did that actually happen? -
Miami or UConn will win this whole thing.

Feels like this thread is about 3 years early, after Woodson 2nd title. -
People gotta remember not to only look at shooting % as a reason to write someone off. Nick Zeisloft shot like 35% from 3 before he got here.

Someone will make a run at him, but if it was me I'd enjoy a few more years of not having to buy a winter coat until some more appealing jobs come open. -
Another statement where punctuation, or lack thereof, makes all the difference.

So far the highlight of Duncomb's career has been when he dominated Caleb Furst in an AAU matchup, convincing me he'd eventually be a double double machine at IU.

Yeah I'm not threatened by him at ND at all. ND recruits nationally, as does IU. There's plenty of talent in-state to go around and IU will always be seen as the best program in the state imo. -

I had no idea Shrewsberry started his head coaching career at IUSB in 2005. It was the last job before he joined Butler's staff. -
Wow. Lots of intriguing prospects in the portal. I hope the staff can close on a few of them. I know who my wish list is, but it never plans out that way so why bother haha.

Could be a good thing too if you consider another potential coach down the road for IU whenever Woodson is done here. Kenya Hunter going to Buffalo and leading them to a few tournament appearances could make him an intriguing option ~5 years from now. -
I think Shrewsberry would be a great fit for ND, I hope he goes there so then I can catch some games in person. A new crop of candidates are starting to emerge for when we may have a vacancy within 5 years or so. Dusty May, Shrewsberry, Michael Lewis to name a few. My guess is May won't be at FAU long now. 5 years should ne plenty of time to prove yourself.
