Wasn't Swope at USI 2 years ago? Seems like quite the jump to go from playing at that level to competing in the B1G. Hard to believe he'd come aboard willing to play <10 mpg when he could get a lot more time somewhere else.

The Mgbako rumor was probably the most egregious, plus I don't think it was just a rumor.

If he comes to IU as part of the coaching staff I think that would prove he doesn't hate IU as much as being alleged.

Can't wait for the moment when Eric Gordon comes back to Assembly Hall to catch a game, so he and Chester Frazier can finally shake hands properly.

Probably the least memorable Day 1 of the tournament I can remember. Not many close games at all. Hopefully tomorrow is a bit more entertaining. Still not taking today for granted considering it was taken from us in 2020.

I am excited to start checking the recruiting board regularly again. It's probably been 6 months since I even bothered going to that page.

I hope he has great success somewhere, I'll be rooting for whatever team he joins. Lots of talent, and seems like a great kid. Won't exactly be shedding any tears losing him though, mostly because I really think we need as much of a fresh start as possible. I always thought he had a lot of fire in him, which was refreshing to see on a team that lacked it.

Woke up this morning even more pumped about this hire than I was last night. We had probably the worst B1G coach the past 4 years yet still managed around 20 wins per year. Now we have a proven winner in college basketball who has spent time at a Power 4 school. I have to think that will be good for an additional 2-4 wins per year. Let's freakin roll.

I'll take a coach who shows life on the sidelines as opposed to what we've had the last 4 years. Teams so often take on the identity of their head coach. We've seemed mostly lazy and disinterested since Woodson got here.

I can't love this hire enough. I watched WVU a few times this year and this guy is intense. He really gets after it with his players, high energy guy on the sidelines. So excited to follow this program again now that we have a college basketball coach who puts in the work to recruit. Let's purge our roster, get a coaching staff in place, and build through the portal.

Woodson wasn't announced until March 28. He obviously wasn't a college coach, just a bench coach with the Knicks. If we have 11 more days of this I'm gonna have to start putting my thumb on ice every night.
