They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

Tyme's posting style and arrogance are the biggest giveaway he's either on staff, or directly related or friends with someone on staff. He doesnt want to see IU win because he's a fan, just wants to see IU win so he can spike the football and he's financially vested in us doing well. -

I'm not convinced that Hurley offer is even real. But it's definitely making the rounds, so lots of UK fans are running with it and getting their hopes up. To the point where anyone other than Hurley will be a disappointment. If it gets to the point where Drew publicly turns them down, I'm pretty sure their board's server will crash. -

Just ventured over to Rupp's Rafters and they're pissed at the thought of hiring Scott Drew. I figured they would be all for it. I guess they all convinced themselves they were getting Hurley. You could do a lot worse than someone who won a national title at freakin Baylor. -

I'm sure we do, and I hope it happens. However, everyone has money. I don't think we are alone in having deep pockets. -

My hot take that's probably wrong is Tyme/NGW is Yasir Rosemond. He clearly is attached to the staff, if not on it. The only way someone could possibly be that confident is if they were getting all their information in real-time directly from the staff. -
Definitely. The 2022-2023 season is still fresh in my mind though. They were expected to take a big step back after getting upset by St Peter's, and losing Ivey and Williams. They opened the next season unranked, but then catapulted to the top 5 after winning the Thanksgiving tournament in Oregon and haven't looked back since.

Conwell would be a huge add. Everyone will be after him though. It will definitely be to our benefit that UK is in the flux that's it's currently in, I could have seen Calipari going all out for Conwell. -
ESPN has Purdue #6 in their way too early Top 25 for next year. With this starting lineup: Smith, Loyer, Heide, Kaufman, and Furst. I've learned not to underestimate Purdue lately because they always seem to exceed expectations, but I see a team that is in and out of the top 25 all season long.
-
There's no way Furst comes back. I bet he hits the portal this week. Did he even play last night?
-
The sun is shining a little brighter today.

Things we'll never see after tonight: Zach Edey Braden Smith flexing
-
Purdue was never even in this game. UConn is incredible.
-
ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THAT NO CALL?!
-
Refs just making sure people don't go to bed just yet.
-
UConn needs to hit just 1 of these open 3s. Feels like they should be up 20 right now.
-
We only have 16 minutes left of Zach Edey for the rest of our lives. No matter the result tonight, I'll go to bed happy knowing I'll never have to watch him play again.
-
Feels like UConn may have figured something out on Edey the latter part of the 1st half. Of course now that I say that he'll go for 20 and 10 in the 2nd half.
-
Edey dropping shoulders, camping in the lane, going over the back. God I can't wait to never watch that goon play again after tonight.

We are definitely intending to add a big man that commands starter level minutes. I agree Williams is probably my #1, but I still foresee the same problems as last year. And I don't think any of them will match Ware's production. -
I just can't shake the feeling it's the B1G's year with UM winning the college football national championship, and Purdue now having a chance in basketball.

When did Ohio State fire Thad Matta, wasn't that in like June? -
Agreed, and how many of them even care about college basketball? Probably like 100 people max.
-
In typical Calipari fashion, he's stealing the headlines today. All eyes focused on him and his new job when the title game tips off tonight. Seems like it's not an accident.

Not sure that ever actually happened, though I definitely was there for the ride. Going from that possibility to Archie was a bit of a pill to swallow. Then 4 years later the IU administration outdid themselves yet again.
