Theo Pinson stats today:   Started, played 25 minutes 2 pts 4 rebounds 3 TOs 4 fouls   He hasn't lived up to 5* rating at all so far, granted he's only a sophomore.  He's only shooting about 35% for his career.  I really wanted this kid when he came out of high school too.

Duke looks very beatable, but man they'll be tough at home still.

Bryant's got that killer instinct and competitiveness that I wish Cody had when he was here.   Fun to see that out of our big man.

Eric Bossi says NC State and St. John's both lead for Rawle.   We have to root for both of those teams to suck this year.  They've already got a head start on that though.

I always thought it was weird how his final schools were UMass, Xavier, Purdue, Miami, and IU.   Just a little weird for a top 40 guard, basically have a bunch of lower tier schools and then IU.  Reminds me of (gasp) Jeremy Hollowell.

If he's wrong, he's about to make himself look real dumb.   I don't like our chances now though, especially with the Huell news.  Something's up.

Damn, what happened?   A pretty well-informed poster on another site is now saying the winds are blowing south for Brown.   There's no way.

Clearly took his official visit to Purdue just to tell them in person he was coming to kick their ass with some of his closest friends next season.

Arizona State lost last night to Sacramento State.   Have to think this can't help with Thon.  If you can't back up aggressive recruiting with wins on the court, then it all seems like empty promises and blowing smoke.   Combine this with NC State losing last night, and IU could be looking a lot better to Thon and Rawle before too long.

Well damn!   He probably stuck around after the game and asked for it back.

Looks like TJ Leaf hasn't signed yet.   Maybe he waits until the spring, realizes Alford is a crappy coach, and ends up here?  I can dream..

  I disagree, NC State has always had talent under Gottfried but they can never put it together.   I have no problem with them, but I feel like NC State is where 5 star players go to (figuratively) die.

  TJ Leaf has to be concerned there.

  We handed out rings to the players amidst zero fanfare.  There was never any kind of celebration for it, and we probably wouldn't have even known about it if Remy Abell didn't tweet a picture about it.

Juwan Morgan looks bigger than I thought he was.  Looks every bit of 6'8".

I'd have to think this puts us in a better position with Thon Maker more so than any of the guards we're after.   Now he knows with Bryant and Davis here, he definitely won't be the only big man on the roster, which could allow him to play a 3/4/5 role.

Haven't been this excited/nervous for an announcement since Blackmon's a few years ago.

Eric Bossi thinks we still get De'Ron, but even if he changes his pick between now and Davis' announcement time, don't be too alarmed.   Just yesterday, he predicted South Carolina for Seventh Woods, because he heard the allure of playing close to home and the threat of pending sanctions at UNC would be too much to overcome.   Lo and behold, Woods popped for North Carolina today.

Man, the next two weeks are going to be huge for our recruiting.  Just call me Captain Obvious.   I'm pretty worried after reading that Zags article.  Hopefully the initial excitement over the official visit of De'Ron wears off and he realizes that IU is the best place for him.   Kegler committing on Wednesday would go a long ways in getting Davis.

  Maybe Matt Painter flew out there today so they can drive back to Purdue together?  Haha.

Wow, Bob Knight was absolutely right on that.  There really is probably no difference between the 8th ranked SF in the country and the 32nd ranked PF.   The fact is that recruiting and scouting is such a business now.  Where there's money to be made, it's going to be made.
