Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets
AKHoosier replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Useless to think about this, but imagine if our 2012 class was: Yogi Ferrell Kellen Dunham Gary Harris Hanner Perea Instead of: Yogi Ferrell Ron Patterson Jeremy Hollowell Peter Jurkin Hanner Perea The sad thing about our 2012 class is that Perea is one of our best players in it. The hypothetical 2012 class I posted would have him as the worst player on it. -
Savannah State has 12 points with 12:00 left to go in the game against Louisville. I sure hope we're hitting our shots against them.
-
Notre Dame is pretty decent this year, I think they'll take care of Purdue. Mike Brey is due to have at least a decent year, Jerian Grant and Demetrius Jackson are better than anyone Purdue has in their backcourt.
-
Devin Robinson very unimpressive stats so far this year, maybe he's hurt or something. 17 mpg, 4.3 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 31% from the field.
-
I just disagree. Kansas does not look that impressive at all. To be honest, UK doesn't either.
-
I think we have to come up with some kind of penalty for the sellout UK fans in Indiana. Like, let's go burn down their houses.
-
3 out of the 4 teams in Bankers Life have their primary color as blue. I'm sure a lot of them are UK fans but when they zoom in there looks to be a lot of Kansas fans there too.
-
Exactly, it's to the point where I may even take Perea over Hammons now. Perea looks to have gotten better, but I think the truth on Hammons has gotten out. He just ain't very good.
-
Purdue struggling mightily with IUPUI, a team that was 6-26 last year. Hammons a complete non-factor. 2 points on 1/5 shooting, 3 rebounds.
-
Nice, if we can get by SMU, I think we have a good chance to go 8-0 heading into our matchup with Louisville. Pitt doesn't look too tough.
-
I'm looking forward to them rolling MSU on Tuesday in Indianapolis. Maybe it'll be good for IU recruiting to see them get blasted in our state, as Izzo is fond of recruiting Indiana kids.
-
Missouri going down last night certainly has to make them less attractive, especially if they follow it up with a loss at home to a much better Valparaiso team on Sunday. Interesting side note on Missouri: JaKeenan Gant, who was seriously considering IU for a while in the offseason, was held out of Missouri's game last night due to concerns about his eligibility.

Illinois giving Georgia Southern all they can handle.
-
Get real, they're not firing Crean before the start of the season.
-
Holy crap
-
You really think so? I thought that too, but then I realized there's 0 chance Tom Crean would put Bryant and Perea on the floor together at the same time. They're both 5s in his system, unless Hanner can be a "situational 4" if his jump shot really is enough of a threat.

I fixed Dakich's tweet.
-
Wow, Lyle definitely put on some pounds. And not the good kind.
-
If the season is already heading south by the semester's end, there won't be much of a season left to save. It won't be because we're lacking options in our backcourt. Jaquan Lyle is really, really good, but he's not a Zeller-like savior. (Unless Yogi or Blackmon go down with injury)
-
Me too, it's only a matter of time. I just hope it's for 2015 and not this coming season though, because things could get messy if joined at the semester.
-
I know you probably can't, but care to elaborate?

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU

LOL, you must not know Tom Crean. I suspect at least two more, to be honest. Not bashing or supporting, just predicting based upon past years. -
They've also got 5* PF Chris MuCullough in the 2014 class. He may be a one and done, but if there's any doubt during the season that he isn't, that would also make it seem like their frontcourt is stacked for 2015.

It's because the thread has been going since June. Don't know why this board does that, can't we just start new threads?
