Bubble Breakdown - March 12th
Uspshoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Nic Moore is their best player and he played. He won the American player of the year -
good we beat a top 10 team without him in the lineup
-
im assuming if the committee would look at those games with injuries involved then they would also look at the losses we had without hanner, colin, and blackmon
-
Highly recommend following Andy bottoms Twitter line He has a great breakdown of 9 teams on the bubble. He feels 8 ot the 9 will get in( unless uconn wins) then 7-9. Really interesting breakdowns Fwiw I think he was ranked 2nd in the brakematrix link for being accurate
-
Fwiw jerry Palm (cbs bracketology has us as an 11 seed not playing in Dayton ). I guess we will find out in less then 24 hours
-
steve has a sos of 217. 0-3 against top 25 and only 3 wins against top 100. No way they get an at-large
-
vcu did ok in the play-in I would still prefer straight in ( as long as it's a 11 or 12, i personally don't want a 7,8,9, or 10)
-
even in our game against them this year black nailed holt in the back of the head that looked bad
-
Kansas up 2[attachment=1832:image.jpg] not sure why it's upside down
-
I hope that worked. Thanks for the help. 55 inch tv to the left , 136 inch movie screen in the middle , 61 inch tv to the right
-
my favorite time of year. If I knew how I would post a screenshot of the setup
-
im rocking 3 in the theater room
-
actually it's like his 8th dirty play this year but yeah whatever
-
Anyone else glad we missed out on leron black? The kid seems like a head case. Just got a dumb technical that started a Michigan run
-
you have to come up with 36 at large bids some how. A couple teams that r concidered on the bubble like Miami and Texas a & m r 2-6 against the top 50. (We r 4-8 against top 50)

Potential fallout from coaching change
Uspshoosier replied to HoosiersLoveBanners's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
no question I agree with everything you are saying. Looking at the big picture of our tourney results from the last 20 years it should show us we have a program problem not just a coaching problem and I would like it fixed soon so my 3 year old can enjoy iu basketball like I did when I was younger ( that's not too much to ask.lol) -

just making the tournament wouldn't be my indiana standard. From 1994-present look how many times we were bounced in the 1st or second round ( not pretty) -

early 90's for me also. We have had some good runs since just not as consistent. After our 1993 loss to Kansas in elite 8 our record in the tournament has not been pretty besides 2002 run -

just curious when was the last time indiana was at your standard? -

[quote name="BenzOrBeamer" post="148563" timestamp="1425873014"] If we don't do it now we never will, we will probably be top 25 next year and that will be good enough for some of our fans and admins who only care about having a little fun and rooting really hard, not winning, which is all I care about. Crean will be a genius for taking a program that almost a decade ago had sanctions and by some divine intervention got them in the top 25, a truly super human coaching effort. Glass will give him an extension and I will run out of fuel for this battle and will be beaten into a submission of mediocrity. Where have been the last 20 years beside the run in 2002 and a couple of sweet 16 appeances a couple years ago. Your fuel should of ran out a while ago. From the last 20 years of watching Iu, mediocrity is where we r at. If u would like to be depressed look at our tournament results since 1994. If I knew how to provide a link I would, if someone else could provide it. Thank you -
if the "buffalo's" of the world or countless others have a better overall resume then Iu then of course they should get in over us but if our overall resume is better then theirs in your opinion why shouldn't we get in? I've seen hartman play his butt off all year (should he not get a chance to play in a tourney) your opinion is we are not one of the best 36 at large teams but maybe the committee does, every bracket expert I have seen has us at a 11 or 12 seed even after the dumpster fire of the last month
-
depends on which brackettolists u follow. Fwiw alex bozich has a link where they rank the most accurate bracketolists over the years ( lunardi is 44th)
-
if u had a kid on the team would u want to lose? As a parent and Iu fan that would be a tough stance to take. Im sure you r an Iu fan and must be a hard decision to hope your teams loses. I'm glad I don't have to be in your shoes and root against a team I have loved for 37 years. Good luck with that
-
so as an Iu fan u would rather miss the tournament because u are worn out by the inconsistency. I'm sure the players will think to themselves since the fans r worn out lets lay an egg and miss out on a chance to play in the tourney (playing in the tourney is probably a goal of many college basketball players especially since they missed out last year) I'm just a die hard fan but getting "in" isn't about what we want it's about the kids that represent the program we would bleed for
-
law of averages we have lost 8 of 12 and (8 of 12 to northwestern) we should be due for a win.
