if Stevens or Donavan were available (next year or year after) and had interest would you be opposed to a coaching change?

it would seem the administration has been looking small time for the last 20 years since regardless of who has coached at Iu we have been mediocre. Hopefully someone besides people posting on a message will look at the bigger picture soon because 20 more years of the same results is not going to be pretty.

because in a single elimination tournament anything can happen. March madness is the greatest sporting event in my opinion but it doesn't always crown the best team as champion. The nba champion is always the best team in the nba because their champion is decided by a 7 game series

and I want Iu to be a powerhouse again and I don't care who gets us back to that level ( as long as it's clean). Crean, Marshall, Donavan. That's just my opinion. if u want to watch the Iu 87 championship tourney run ( in color instead of black and white) let me know I have all 6 games on vhs tape

how far have they fallen in your 22 years? Early 90's was the last consistent stretch this program had. In your 22 years our program is much more comparable to ND and Gonzaga then it would be to kentucky, kansas, North Carolina or even your dukies. That's a tough pill to swallow. I'm 37 and remember Iu being on their level. For our younger fans (and older) I hope we can get back to that level because college basketball is better when indiana is a powerhouse. Hopefully someone can get us back to constant success sooner rather then later

or he is in his 20's and he has never experienced Iu being the mighty.

i would pick Izzo if I had a choice but both are on an entirely different level then anyone else coaching in the B1G

when you are a pre season top 10 team

not when you are a preseason top 10 team and picked near the top of the big 12 ( finished 8-10) and finish 20-14

I wouldn't say they are misused statistics. It's data that shows regardless of who has coached here the past 20 years, the program is mediocre. Whether it's at the tail end of one coaches tenure or at the beginning of another coaches tenure the results speak for themselves. In the late 90's we were finishing middle of the pack in big 10 (11 teams) and presently we finished middle of the pack ( 14 teams) I hear people ask when did indiana start accepting mediocrity. To me it would seem people accepted it in the late 90's.

when fischer committed he was in the 120-150 range in the rankings. He shot up the rankings his senior year

You go to an Internet website during the season and there is a thread about you with people hoping you get creaned at the end of the season.

oklahoma fans would probably want to see the matchup played outside the state of Ohio since they were a 3 seed and had to play an 11 seeded Dayton team 90 mins from campus

no need to look at entire roster because he only plays 6-7 players. His team did go to the elite 8 last year with the core players. The question I would ask would be could he of gotten away playing his small lineup if he played in big 10, acc instead of a-10? How would r small lineup stack up against a-10 completion. Fwiw I think he has done a tremendous job I just think it's hard to compare the difference in competition of conferences

5 of their 6 scholarship players are upperclassmen. That seems to be a older team to me

im hoping you just worded that poorly because if that really is his thought then I'm not sure I would want a coach that would want something handed to him on a silver platter. I would thank that coaches would take great pride in building a program up

i agree with everything u r saying. We have a bigger problem then coaching if we want to get our program back to where we all want it to be

results paint the program as average When our current coach has 2 sweet 16 appearances and that is the farthest we have gone in the tourney(besides a Cinderella run in 2002)as a program in the last 20 years. What else besides average would u call it? A sleeping giant
