i guess it would depend if our overall resume was one the 36th best for an at large bid after the 32 automatic bids r taken
-
our all time record in this event is 10-17 I would say that this tournament has it out for the Hoosiers regardless of who is coaching them

Perry Ellis scores kansas last 10 Pts and gets taking out.....sound familiar

IU vs Minny Post Game Thread
Uspshoosier replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
im sure they realize refs officiate in multiple conferences. Mike eads refs in the big ten and acc -
kenpom also has a florida team that is (12-13 ) #34

unlv's leading scorer is out for the next month i would assume they r going to lose more games. On Iu being a 6 seed I it looks like the mock committee thought it was the 21-24 best resume overall

Jon rothstein has a good write up on yogi on cbssports.com. If anyone knows how to provide a link please do

Unlv 14-10, 5-6 conference as a 11 seed not even playing in the first 4 is a bit of a stretch I would think even for a mock selection

we went 5-1 at the start of the big 10 with the same defense. I think we can all agree we wish our defense was better but this late in the season it is what it is (fav worthless saying)
-
i agree with u our d has to become average at best to advance or they will need a lot of luck. Not sure if it's same article but in 2012 bleacher report had an article saying the last 10 national champions were top 20 in both offensive and defensive efficiency Half way there lol.

lots of teams "underachieve" In March it happens every year, that year it happened to a team we r both invested in. I'm sure duke fans thought they underachieved losing to us in 2002 and the list could go on. the reason it stings with us more is that this was our first real shot at a final 4 in a while and we came up short don't pretend it doesn't happen to other programs. I have confidence in the team to get hot at the right time and have a little luck go there way anything can happen in March ( george mason, vcu)

isnt our team playing for something also? All fan bases hope their boys will be up for the challenge. Margin of error is always shrinking during this time of year for all teams fighting for bid. Unless you r a fan of the top 10 ranked schools this year it's a coin flip on who will win most of the games. I will take 3-3(worst case)in these last 6 games and feel comfortable with our resume against other teams that would be on the bubble with us

Can you make NCAA with only 2 road wins?

theres more examples of of teams that have gotten in with worst conference records illinois isn't the only team to do it. Isn't our longest losing streak this year been 2? I would say that is going above and beyond the call of duty to prove to u that they won't lose most of these games. If for some reason we end up on the bubble I like our chances with 3 wins vs top 25 rpi and 8 vs top 100 I will be willing to bet not a lot of bubble teams would be able to say that -

to answer your question of what happens if we finish below the top 5 or 6 teams, if our overall resume is better then those teams that would finish better then us then the commitee would reward Iu with a bid. For example in 2012 when we won the big 10. Iowa finished 6th (9-9 in big play) and illinois finished tied for 7th(8-10 in big play) illinois made they tourney over Iowa (3 seed in nit). But if we lay an egg in these last 6 games and miss the tourney it won't be because we didn't play a true road game out of conference it would be because we couldn't win 4 games at home or 2 road games against teams with rpi over 100. -

[quote name="Bokkes" post="136669" timestamp="1423802793"] I would say eastern washington at home is a bad loss troleee[/quote. The committee wouldn't since e Washington rpi is on the 60's. Back to under your bridge -

i understand they have 0 bad losses up until now I'm pretty sure most bubble teams have more then 1. I guess u r expecting a major collaspe(shocker coming from a troll) to even be concidered on the bubble. -

ask lunardi, Palm and every other bracket projecting site that has Iu with the 25-30 best resume to this point in the season. They all think the schedule was good enough It might not be up to your standards but the people that get paid to project the field don't have a problem with our schedule -
consensus #1? Louisville was the number#1 overall seed in 2012 and kansas was the 2nd number 1 seed. The committee set up that March bracket with us the 3rd best team entering the tourney I wouldn't say that was concensus Any team can get hot in March and make a run Did u pick uconn last year to win it all? I know I didn't but people said they would be dangerous because of guard play
