Most underrated weekend of college basketball a ton of good games this weekend. My view during the season[attachment=3641:image.jpeg] I'm not sure why the picture is turned upside down

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Uspshoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
i wouldnt read too much in iu being unsuccessfully in trying to get him to the final game. Just remember we had been successfully in getting him down for unofficial visits and games earlier in the year -
not a smart play being up 12. Va tech has a chance to be good next year when another former iu recruit Ahmed hill gets healthy
-
Tcu beat Texas tech
-
Gus Johnson just went off on the officiating in the big east tournament. He was not a happy announcer. Marquette up 2 on st johns 4 min to go
-
Tcu up 3 with 25 sec on Texas tech
-
notre dame has actually improved in defensive efficiency from the last time I checked it. They were 214th and now they are 190th. Lol. A couple other games I'm looking forward to are Texas bs Baylor and providence vs butler

Tomorrow starts must see basketball for hoops junkies Quarterfinal matchups in the major conference tournaments. Iowa st vs Oklahoma is just one big matchup that will happen tomorrow Happy viewing hoops junkies ( I'm looking at you Aloha)

got to love the pac 12 network. Amazing how 2 teams leave Maui 1-2 and 1 goes on to beat Kentucky and the other loses to Duke by 20 and fast forward to now and see where these teams ended up. I have said it many times college basketball is a hell of a ride for 5 months

(13-19 )holy cross wins 4 straight road games in their conference tournament They were 0-9 on the road in conference
-
Only bid up for grabs tonight is on cbssports in the patriot league. Good luck Carmody. You might not of been able to get northwestern to the dance but you are a win away from taking holy cross. Unlv is up 3 on Air Force in 3 ot.

Creaning or something. I dont' know.
Uspshoosier replied to Trish's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
yeah I'm just saying Robinson was a top 60 4 star guy and the others you listed in were not even close to that. I had no problem with them recruiting him at the time because he played for a high school powerhouse in Nevada and had other high major teams interested. But he turned out to be a flop like holowell, Austin, hanner, and the others you mentioned. I have no problem focusing in the Midwest as long as they sprinkle in recruites from other areas. There are talented kids everywhere 5 star 4 star 3 star no star the good programs find them and develope them -
and this is why I respect the job the selection committee does every year. The job is a lot harder then many think and the amount of time they spend in selecting teams has to be tiresome. I have watched a ton of college basketball and compared many resumes over the course of the year and I couldn't imagine narrowing the last 6-8 teams down. Lunardi actually used to run a course online at st Joseph's that was devoted to bracketology. He didn't do it this year but he as said he will probably do it again. Awesome discussion str8

i agree on all of them except Robinson. He was at least a top 60 guy when they were recruiting him. Now his game later on translated to crap but I had at least heard of him when he signed and I didn't have to use google to look him up like the other ones on your list -
and then comes the debate that comes up every year. Is the committee's job to put the best teams in the tournament( basically eye test) or best team resumes. That's why it will be interesting what they do with whicita st this year. They are obliviously one of the best 36 at large teams if you go by eye test. No way do they have one of the best 36 at large resumes

@espnandykatz Selection committee chair @soonerad on @Cuse_MBB 4-5 record w/o @therealboeheim: "To pretend he's not a difference maker is a mistake." This is a quote from the committee chairman
-
if we beat Michigan another top 75 rpi would only help the team resume when comparing to other resumes imo
-
i agree the head coach is a valuable part of the team and their record shows you first hand the importance of a coach. I feel they should take in account these games without him because he put the team in the position of having to play the games without him. If the committee decided to not count the games he didn't coach then what was the point of suspending him in the first place. Actions have consequences or at least should have. In my opinion they should be counted for that reason. I can imagine their fans are going to be saying if we would of landed Bryant we would of been top 15. Thank you again Thomas for picking iu

thanks for looking that up aloha

i agree i would be interested to know the lowest seed the winner of the big 10 regular season and BTT has gotten. I can't imagine it's anything less then a 2 and probably no lower then a 1. It would be an interesting debate. Having said that if they go through Michigan, Purdue, and Michigan st I would see no senerio where they are not a 2
-
i would say it would depend on who we played to win it and what the teams in front of iu did in their conference tournaments. If we beat northwestern, a 12 seed and say Ohio st in the finals there would be a chance we wouldn't get a 2. I just threw out a senerio where we won and possibly wouldn't be a 2. I do not think this will happen.
-
if iu wants a chance at a 2 seed you want best teams available to play to boost resume so Michigan
-
good point someone should ask the chairman that question

here is a reason not to pick them https://vimeo.com/21282810
