or it just means he lost in the tournament to another team with nba talent on it. I've seen better teams with more talent then Zeller and oladipo's team and better coaches then crean lose a lot earlier.

with unbalanced schedules in conferences if u only played a team once during the regular season you can actually meet in the 2nd round. That rule was changed a couple years ago
-
a stat that stood out to me is that Iu(8) is actually 3rd in the big 10 for most final 4 appearances behind Ohio st(10) and Michigan st(9)

@insidethehall Tom Crean said Robert Johnson has a sprained ankle. "It's a definite ankle sprain." #iubb @jefferabjohns Sophomore guard Robert Johnson has an ankle sprain, no specific timetable for his return, Indiana coach Tom Crean said tonight. #iubb

crazy to think that our seed is going to suffer from the trip to Maui. The 3 games we played in Maui the teams rpi's are(126, 135, and 216) heck we could of stayed home and played 3 more games at the hall against cupcakes and be 24-4 today and in the conversation of a top 3 seed. But maybe we needed the wake up calls in Maui to get to where we are now. Like u said 4 of our 6 losses were by 5 points or less

after watching the game again we just missed shots. A set was run to get yogi a shot at the foul line ( he missed), another offensive set got max a wide open corner 3 (he missed). Yogi missed a running layup on the left side, Troy missed a finger roll at the rim. Only hitting 1 of 2 foul shots 2 straight times. now the last possession when max tried a layup over Hammons was bad. Sometimes basketball is a simple game. Purdue was hitting and iu didn't. I was more concerned with the defensive breakdowns that started around 10 min to go. The 2 threes Edwards hit at that time were breakdowns by Morgan. The kid played his butt off but had some freshman breakdowns that caused a good shooter to see the ball go through the rim. Also fouling them on 3 and 1's when they had no chance to stop the layup didn't help. This is just my opinion

i agree with a lot in here that doesn't think he is the answer long term but of his 8 years here how many years did you really think he was going to contend for a big 10 title? For me I didn't give us a chance in his first 2 years. I have no problem with anyone that does hold those years against I just personally don't. While I didn't think we would compete for a title in his 3rd year he doesn't get a pass from me because they underachieved terribly that year. The penn st and northwesterns find a way to compete with lesser talent. In competing for a big 10 title would you rather finished tied for 2nd but 6 games back of the champion like in 1998-99 or finish 5th 2 games out of 1st ( with losses to a 4-14 Nebraska team on the road and 6-12 Minnesota team at home and we were 3-6 on the road that year) You can either look at it as crean has competed for a big 10 title 3 out of 8 years or 3 out of 6 years. It's not always about what place you finish bit how many games out of first your team is. If you want to feel depressed as an iu fan feel free to look it up for the past 20 plus years. Spoiler alert it's not pretty http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/conferences/big-ten/1999.html

3 losses to sub 100 teams would be hard to overcome when comparing other teams resumes for the 1 seed line

not really I have watched too many other coaches more accomplished then crean and better teams then this Indiana team do the same exact thing. Just off the top of my head this year I watched painter and Purdue blow a 20 point lead in the 2nd half against Iowa and actually lose, I watched Iowa blow a 20 point lead to Iowa st in the 2nd half and lose. I'm watching Maryland today who was once up 16 in the 1st half be down 1 with 8 to play. With the 3 point shot a 16 point lead is nothing in college basketball. I would of loved to extended the lead but i also didn't expect Purdue to hit 7 threes in the last 9 min

If anyone missed this yesterday this is classic http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball-news/4695684-jae-sean-tate-floor-slap-video-ohio-state-nebraska-highlights-tai-webster

Ohio st is still mathematically alive to win the big 10. Lol their 10 wins consist of ( Rutgers twice, Illinois twice, Minnesota, Nebraska, penn st, northwestern twice and their best win against Michigan). You got to love unbalanced schedules Their is a good chance they can win 11 games in the conference and still not get an at-large bid

2 am and college basketball providing another good game. Hawaii up 1 40 seconds to play
-
no bad loses and played Oklahoma and Texas tech( looking like a tourney team) tough. I would assume Irvine and Hawaii will be favored to be playing for the big west automatic bid
-
If uc Irvine makes the tournament I hope they play Purdue. I just want haas to look small compared to someone else

Uspshoosier replied to PrideofFeeLane's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
@kyleneddeniep Great game. Tech's C.J. Walker and Mario Nalls each had 23. Chris King 18 points. Jalen Adaway 28 for Logansport and Matt Jennings 26.
