One plays with 4 other division 1 kids and plays a national schedule ( tucker) and the other is the only kid with D1 talent on the team playing lesser talent. Hard to judge them purely on numbers they r putting up. In my opinion tucker is clearly the better prospect with the higher ceiling but having watch gunn in person several times this year and last he has clearly made a big jump in development. By not signing early he bet on himself and he has put himself in position to play at a higher level college then what most were expecting. Ball st was the favorite before his senior year. I don't understand people trying to diminish a win against a Kentucky team they won the sec regular season and tournament ( probably should of been a 3 seed). Almost every national expert had them coming out of the region. That team also had a couple lottery picks. Sure that's not good enough for IU fans over 35 but sadly for IU fans under the age of 30 those sweet 16 runs are about the only success they have experienced ( besides one magical run to the final game). So u think they are a team closer to missing the tournament entirely instead of team that gets a mediocre seed? Somewhere in the middle is a team that will make the tournament with a 5-9 seed line. Agree. U just said we lose every time we play butler just pointing out that is false. The year we beat butler they had a good team. Of course iu shouldn't be losing consistently to butler or wisky( the coaches before crean shouldn't of lost consistently to wisky but they did). There are a lot of things this program should of consistently done since 94 but they haven't. You, me, and any person with basketball knowledge can watch iu and see how to beat them. Most coaches are stubborn in their ways and will not take advantage of how to beat crean. March 11 and march 19 of 2015 was the last time we lost consecutive games or had a losing streak. im not recker but I will give u my thoughts. I feel the same about this team as I did at the beginning of the season. I didn't get to high on the first game of the year against Kansas and didn't get to low with a loss at IPFW. The concerns with this team coming into the season by the national media was point guard play. The wins against Kansas and North Carolina took the focus off this problem but if u follow college basketball closely u know how big of problem this can cause. This might be cliche but iu is not as bad as the team that lost to ipfw and Nebraska and they are not as good as the team that beat Kansas. Somewhere in the middle.
