That seems to be said every year. As long as one and done kids leave early then to an extent when the best players leave you will have a drop off. Personally for me I don't see it as being a down year but my opinion on the subject is biased. I watch 3 tvs of college basketball at a time and have been known to watch low major teams on my phone on ESPN3 as well. Can't stop won't stop. Lol Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Fred Glass on the state of IU Athletics
Uspshoosier replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
On a Maryland game broadcast on BTN they put up a graph of who has played the toughest schedule so far and at the time we had played the toughest. They compared Maryland to us last year since we won it and played the second easiest B1G schedule. So far Maryland has played the easiest schedule Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

SCOUT Independent coverage of Basketball Recruiting Jeremiah Francis Jeremiah Francis talks early interest from the Big Ten and more BRIAN SNOW 10:05 AM Point guard Jeremiah Francis is one of the best in the 2019 class, and he already has a ton of interest, and several offers from high-major schools. Class of 2019 point guard Jeremiah Francis is having a tremendous sophomore season. Francis is showing his ability to score and distribute, and continues to rack up high-major interest and offers. About his season, Francis said, “The year has been great. We’ve were undefeated for a while, so we have a great team and we are working hard to be as good as we can be, and hopefully win a state title.” Jeremiah Francis 6'1" / 190 lbs PG RANK NR OFFERS 3 He continued, “I’ve been working on being someone who scores from all three levels. I know I have to get better in the mid-range, and also I am working hard on my pull ups and floaters in the lane so I can be effective there without big guys blocking my shot.” On the recruiting side of things Francis is taking it all in, but already numerous schools have stepped forward with offers and interest. “I’ve been talking to Purdue, Indiana, Miami, Creighton, Ohio State, Nebraska, West Virginia, Ohio University, and a few other schools,” listed Francis. Francis is a legacy recruit for Ohio State. His father played for the Buckeyes in the 80’s, and Francis says he stays in touch with the coaching staff, though at this point there is no offer. “My mom and my dad graduated from there so it is all in the family,” said Francis of Ohio State. “It is in the bloodlines, so of course it would be really good to have the opportunity to go there.” When it comes to his communication with the staff, Francis said, “My dad and Coach (Chris) Jent are really close and they always talk. I love Coach Jent. We’ve been talking, it has mostly been me and Coach Jent talking.” One school that has offered and is making Francis is a major focus is Purdue. The Boilermakers have been extremely active in the recruitment, and continue to build a good relationship with Francis. “I love Purdue,” said Francis of the Boilermakers. “I went there when I was younger when they were going through a lot of construction, and now that I see it today and see the campus it is great. You can walk to the gym from the dorms, and I know it is a place I can get better, so I like it a lot.” Also Indiana has picked up the interest in Francis. The Hoosiers continue to show attention, and he likes the atmosphere around Bloomington. “I know a lot about Indiana,” explained Francis. “It is a basketball state, and the atmosphere is great there. Coach (Tom) Crean is a great coach, and I talk to the assistants a lot. I think it is a good school.” For now Francis says he is in no hurry to select a school, but he is looking to continue to build relationships, and improve on his game. Michigan is streaky. If they are hitting jump shots it could be a long night. They beat a good Smu team. I'm not saying they are world beaters but any road game will bring a different challenge. I would guess Michigan and northwestern will be favored going into these games Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Definitely he will be playing basketball on scholarship somewhere next year. From watching him this year it wouldn't surprise me if higher major teams jump in his recruitment after the season for the late period Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
