If iu is 20-13 as u predict they will make the tournament with room to spare. (Meaning a seed better than the last 4 in games in Dayton. 5 more wins means u probably think the will win their home games (Purdue 29), northwestern(33), Michigan(56), penn st(65). 2 more top 50 wins to go along with the ones they already have and 2 more top 100 wins to go along with the ones they have. And the that leaves the last win against a top 100 team on the road. Running into izzo couple years in a row didn't help Bennett out. Last year they were the better team against Syracuse for 30 min and decided to forget how to play basketball for 10 mins. Post season success doesn't scare me as much since great coaches seem to figure out how to get over the hump eventually and imo he is a great coach. I remember a time where jay wright was getting hammered for getting a great seed and losing early. ( I'm guilty anytime I saw Villanova a 1 or 2 seed I had them bounced in the second round. He got over the hump last year. Im bullish on Bennett maybe it's because I haven't got to cheer for a great defensive team in a long time (Cody sophomore year was closest to be great) and Virginias D is defense porn. Thanks for the response back. That roller coaster isn't just the crean roller coaster it has been the Indiana basketball roller coaster since 1995. Since you are a younger fan and might not realize the end of the knight era wasn't great here is iu's tournament history ( notice 1995-2008) besides the magical run in 2002. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/tournament/history/_/team1/6221 We both want the same thing, IU to be back on top just a different view on how to get there. Fwiw Bennett would be my choice if Stevens isn't available. Since we have had a one dimensional coached team for 9 years ( good offensive numbers), terrible defense i would be fine with taking a chance at the one dimensional coach with a great defense year in and year out and an offense that seems to be trending up (still pace of play would worry me) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
