I graduated from Indiana st in 2001 and have used vacation time for championship week and 1st week of the tournament every year. Before that I just didn't go to class. And when I was younger my father made a deal with my mother that if I didn't miss a day a school during the year I could miss class on Thursday and Friday of the 1st weekend. this If you are on this message board you are a die hard. There are far more casual fans then there are die hards it just seems like there are more die hards because we are here posting between each other. It's like when you go to college since you are surrounded by others going so you assume everyone goes to college in reality it is a very small number compared to people who do not attend college. As a mailman on my route I run into very few diehards when it comes to IU. A ton of casual IU fans ( young and old) and most are only concerned about what happens season to season ( no recruiting). It's funny walking on my route after a loss sucks because everyone knows how diehard I am and it seems almost every customer ask about it and my thoughts. Wayne u might be surprised how many older fans (60 or older still pull for crean) at least on my route in Martinsville. I've done my part over the years of telling anyone that would listen on my route that he was not the answer moving forward. For me the "feeling" that we can't win has more to do with the fact that every Indiana team I have watched since Jan 25 1998 (I would of been 19, I'm 38 now) has lost in Madison. U mean his 6 big south conference championships and 7 big south conference tournament championships included in the 19 championships so wouldn't be 19 seasons because he would of won regular season and tourney in same year on some of those.
