Has nothing to do with optimism. I've seen worst teams then this get hot and put together a little mini streak

Or a resume booster for a struggling IU team. Winning @ Minny(26 rpi) would put a wrench in the tankers plan. It would give IU life. If iu wins this game watch how much their rpi will jump( big if). The bubble is historically terrible this year. Just look at the teams projected in last 4 in as of today. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

All games count. While iu was were home after losing in their conference tournament Louisville and Kansas racked up 2 more quality wins then iu could. Don't lay an egg in the conference tournament and iu gets the 1 overall seed. After looking at my projections for that year in my bracket I had them as the 2nd overall seed behind Louisville but ahead of Kansas. Still the point is people acting like iu was the clear cut favorite that year and no team was close to them is alternative facts. Louisville was just as deserving to be called the favorites

Well you could see the potential in him but very hard to gauge because Mooresville was terrible. He was the tallest kid on the court. You can tell he is a sophomore. Definitely needs to put some muscle on. He probably missed 4 layups. I will definitely be going to more games next year to see how much he will progress. Can't believe Purdue offered this early for now IU should take the wait and see approach on this one until at least his junior year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
It makes for the 2nd best weekend of college basketball. So for hoops junkies I love it. The matchups from Thursday to Sunday of championship week are awesome Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

The whole season matters correct? 2 of the 3 teams won their conference and conference tournament the other team only won the conference and got bounced in the semi finals of their conference tournament. Every game matters Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Not according to the committee that year iu was the 3rd overall number 1 seed Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Louisville also lost to that same zone that year as well. I agree there are no more excuses to be made for the man but to act like it was such a big upset losing to this Syracuse team is crazy in my opinion. I would argue the year before when we played VCU showed just as much how unprepared for a certain gameplan this team was. VCU was the better team for almost the whole game. We turned it over like we do this year. It took a shot by Will and then Shaka draws up a great play to get a shooter a wide open shot to win it, he just missed the shot. But since we won the game no one points to it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Besides his championship he had 2 other years playing in the championship games(without melo) up until that point. Obviously he added another final 4 run that year with a talented team that had NBA players on the roster As Wayne says back on topic fire crean Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yep sometimes the team that isn't the best wins(Villanova beating Georgetown for the title shooting over 80 percent for the game) and sometimes the most talented team wins (Kentucky winning it in 2012). It's part of college basketball Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

It was just an example. I wonder how Georgetown fans felt that year when their 2 seeded Hoyas with a top 5 pick lost to Florida gulf coast in the 1st round Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Or they just played harder. Did Syracuse not have a game plan when that temple team beat them earlier in the year. Losing happens regardless of having a terrible coach or a hall of fame coach. Sometimes it's just not your night Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
