For you maybe but others would have them firmly in with those 6 wins. Committee using a new metric makes things interesting as well. Wins above bubble WAB. IU is in the 30s. If they win the 6 your talking about their WAB would improve more then it is already is which in my opinion will be the metric they use at the bottom of the bubble -

IU is projected in the Last 4 in today by some of the best bracketologist (I have them first 4 out)without those wins. They win 6 more games I would prepare yourself for the fact that they are more than likely in the field. I would rather not watch them in Dayton so if they could either lose enough to not make or win enough to get out of Dayton I would really appreciate it -

Then why did you list 6 more wins to get them to 11-9? just say Mike Woodson is coaching them so no chance at 11 wins -
He missed but they get the ball back and he buries a 3. Princeton is going to win it

This is college basketball. They will win games you think they will lose and they will lose a game you think they will win. Anyone can play the what if game when it comes where the wins will come from. Even with your 11-9 case with the wins you handpicked that’s still a resume that will probably get them in the tourney. Road wins against teams like Washington are still resume wins regardless of what fans think. That would be at least 5 total wins away from home against Q1 or Q2 teams with 4 of those wins away from home against current top 100. I know your hatred for high major mediocre teams making it but that’s where the selection process is at. I could make a strong case for IU going 9-11 and sneaking in the tourney. If I hand pick the 4 games as sweeping Purdue, beat Michigan and Sparty and that’s a resume that would compare nicely to a bubble team. The last 4 in resumes usually are crap and if a team would have 0 Q3 losses and big Q1a wins they are probably going to make it. I don’t have to agree with it but that’s how it’s been as long as I’ve been projecting the tourney and until they change it that’s how I will continue to project it -

Non conference really don’t matter if they get those wins in conference. Getting non conference wins makes life easier however not required when you play in the second best conference for the year. Yes the B1G technically is down but with how the committee views things they are the second best. Providence is a Q2 win(yep I know they are not good). Not all resume wins have to be against tournament quality. IU has 0 Q3 losses currently and don’t have anymore on the schedule. 6 more wins in the B1G to get them to 11-9 is going to produce Q1 and Q2 wins. IU isn’t going to be compared to Auburn or Duke when they are at the bottom of the bubble. From a bracketologist point of view the resumes of the bottom teams are going to have flaws. Not saying it’s right but I know how these mostly turn out. Iu would be in good position at 11-9 with where the B1G teams they still plays NET are currently at. These teams will beat each other up and since they are all mostly in the top 70s you won’t see many drop much lower then where they are now -

Nebraska, Iowa and OSU was road games so Q1 up to 75 and it’s still a Q1 game. Definitely disappointing that’s where we are discussing them but for a bubble team their NET right now would be good enough for the bottom of the bubble. B1G has too many opportunities since they did so well early that basically every game they win moving forward will be a solid resume win. If IU got to 11-9 they would be a lock to make the tourney just based on what the committee has done in the past. IU would be compared to teams like Dayton, Pittsburgh, TCU, New Mexico which if they get to 10-10 in the B1G with no Q3 losses will look good. Again not where this team should be or what I would want but I would be very confident that they would be on the right side of the bubble with a 10-10 record. If and this is a big if they swept Purdue, beat Michigan at home and add 2 other wins they would be locked in at 10-10 -

They are all Q1 losses as of now. Committee just sees losses to good teams mostly away from home while the fan invested sees a horrific performance by the team the love. IU is currently in the last 4 in to first 4 or next 4 out range with the resume they currently have. Add 5 more Q1 and Q2 wins and they would be closer to the right side then people think or would want. Bottom of the side lines with those last 4 in teams are always going to have shaky resumes and if IU shows up with no Q3 losses and the amount of Q1 and 2 wins they will have they will be in consideration. Their resume isn’t comparing with the Auburn, Bama, Duke or anyone on the top of the bracket like it should be it would be compared with teams that will have flaws -
