He might. Reports are out the UCLA is lacking in the NIL department even being in LA. He had to go out and raise money for NIL and from reports from not just message boards he wasn’t too happy about it. If he goes to IU he won’t have to pull teeth to get money. His first couple seasons at Cincy were rough but other than that with Cronin you are going to make the tourney pretty much every year and your team is going to play really hard and good defense. He is considered a top 20 coach in today’s game by some outlets. He is a good coach he just rubs people the wrong way. He has a Martinsville native that has been on his staff since his Cincy days. TJ Wolf started out as a video coordinator back in the day and his on Cronins staff in some capacity

Otzelberger is my number 1 choice out of everyone and that includes the white whale May and McDermott are right behind him. I’ve been drooling over his offense at Creighton for a couple years now in the college basketball thread anytime they played. Called it must see TV. He is just a really good college basketball coach. He lost players to the portal after an Elite 8 run nembhard and Kaluma and the next year competed in the Big East again and made a sweet 16. Baylor S (not attempted to spell it ) graduated and they are plugging kids in and they are position to compete again. My problem is people saying IU is in position to tell a coach with his resume thanks but no thanks we can do better. I would figure after the years they have watched they would at least give someone like that a chance.

Depends. Since he turned OSU down he built Creighton up in the Big East to be fighting for the top and has made a trip to the Elite 8. Maybe he thinks he peaked there and wants a new challenge. Maybe he sees IU being mentioned as a top NIL in the entire sport and that interest him. The time to go would be now because after this year he loses Ryan K who has been there 6 years and some other seniors. Hopefully he decided IU is worth leaving for

He was pretty close to going before he said no. Sounds like this time he might be ready to move on from Creighton. We shall see. I would love him as coach but you don’t normally see power 5 coaches moving to other power 5 openings
