I still contend that Crean's use of Bryant is irrelevant so long as he goes somewhere inside that arched thing. Bryant's presence alone should force defenses to soften their hold on the perimeter. If CTC can't find a way for one of the deepest 3-Pt shooting teams in the country (with a perimeter player to draw some focus and a PG capable of driving) to get consistent looks I will kneel before the throne of Alford Bailey.

Less announce, more confirm. They aren't blind to the the rampent speculation. It wouldn't take much more than a passive reference to next year's team/the program to confirm his return. -

Not even a ground-rule double to the short fence? -

Is the an established timeline for things like this? I think WatShot has it pretty well covered, but I'm curious what this typically looks like... For what it's worth, I'm a bit surprised we haven't heard anything either way, unless they are ensuring it will be a smooth transition. Outside of this, I see little to no value in staying silent. -

Not to mention, 1-2 players can turn around a program- unlike football. -

I've always graded CTC as a (+) recruiter, (+) for player development, average for game prep, (-) for in-game adjustment. He gets out-coached in game a fair amount, though I feel he at least brings us prepared more often than not (see our 1st versus 2nd half performances). -

"...every mediocre coach grows up dreaming about the possibilityof going to a program where, no matter the product on the court, no one will ever notice! The University of Alabama and its students have made a stern commitment to doing everything possible to forget they have a basketball program. I can think of no better place to build a program that no one will ever take notice of." -

Crean...Crean...Cream! Cream comes from Milk, Milk comes from Cows, Cows come from Wisconsin...where Marquette is! Wisconsin is next to Minnesota which is where the Mississippi river starts from...the Mississippi river lets out into the Gulf of Mexico, where the Crimson tide comes from...Crimson Tide is Alabama's nickname. The answer was so obvious, the elephant in the room. Feel free to quote me as an inside source. -

It was hard to miss the not so subtle orange glow of his skin whenever I went to mass, so I'd say yes. -

Downside to this- Could cost us Christian Watford's younger brother (who's supposed to be a stud) -

I think the biggest thing we're all missing is that the move makes fashion sense- No need to change wardrobe. -
Three predictions have gone away while IU/UK/Mizzous percentages have gone up (without receiving more). Cold feet by some soothsayers.
-
So anyone else find it funny that a number of crystal ball predictions on Bryant have been deleted? That's some Chad Ford bullshit right there.
-
Good quote from that article though- Sums up my feelings on this whole situation: "If the Hoosiers are able to add Morgan, Anunoby, and Bryant while maintaining the core of this basketball team - Indiana would be an incredibly dangerous team next season and with Tom Crean's coaching seat growing white hot, a commitment by Thomas Bryant could change the course of history for this Indiana program and Tom Crean himself."

Can one of the Admins ban this guy for ruining my day/week/month? Making me sad constitutes banning right?

I was there and I totally saw/heard this in between my 5th beer and 2nd flask. Scouts honor.

So do we have any confirmation that during timeouts on Saturday CTC just walked up to TB/TM/MM and circled the middle of the post and said "THIS IS WHAT WE NEED!" (while just yelling "JUST SHOOT THE DAMN 3" at the huddle)? If so I don't know what else needs to be done besides asking TB number he'd like and what his jersey size is.
-
I know I heard rumors a while back that he was brought here with only 1 year guarunteed. Obviously that's "wrong" but with the way college sports run these days...

My main discriminator on Stevens v Donovan (long term) is that Stevens' ties to Indiana could prove critical in recruiting the state (which is loaded with talent the next few years especially).
-
In this hypothetical realm, who do you think would better choice to coach the team as it stands/would look like next year? Assuming that Yogi, Troy and JBJ are back (the key pieces if you will) and we get one (1) of the post players we're looking at (Bryant or Maker)... I think Donovan could wreck (more) havoc with that roster. Then again, in theory anyone should (though if that was true, we wouldn't be having this discussion).

Welp, this secondary topic is closed/won. You can put that on your sig-line as well.

So if this scenario came to fruition AND Ca$h-Money-Cal left UK for the NBA, just how terrible would the SEC be?

So you're telling me we could potentially have him (PF), Eron Gordon (G), and Joey Brunk (C) in on class? I like this, especially with the salavating prospect of the 2017 prospects. 2016 Roster (Graduates- Yogi/Hanner/Zeisloft), New Players in Bold, Assumed Loses (NBA/Transfer/Etc) Struck Through, Non-Scholarship players (*) G- Rojo (Jr), Eron Gordon (Fr), Blackman(Jr.), Robinson (Sr.) F- Morgan (So), Davis (Fr), Annonuby (So), Colin (Sr), Hoetzel (Jr), Williams (Sr), Burton (Jr.)*, D.Davis (Sr), Fuchs (Jr.)* , Holt (Jr), Priller (Jr) Ritchie (Jr.)* C- Brunk (Fr), April (Jr) Scholarships Available- 3
