Before he got to Montverde, McNeeley wasn’t the most intictive kid without the ball. Boyle has done a great job with him. That kid finds every crease now. Fland does the same. Man, those 2 would make for some pretty offense.

Boogie Fland was very consistent in each session throughout the weekend. Fland, On3’s No. 1 point guard in the 2024 class, valued possessions for his team. He took care of the ball and did not turn it over. The shooting really stood out for Fland, especially throughout an event where there were not a lot of shot-makers. Fland confidently got to his spots in the half-court while consistently showing his deep range off ball-reversals. He scored when needed and distributed when needed. And they weren’t in the same class. McNeeley and Fland would both be favorites to be McDAA’s and I think the last time IU had 2 in the same class was Reed and Patterson something like 30 years ago. If you get really greedy and assume Queen for a minute I don’t think we’ve ever had 3.

Between this and his comments during last week’s Hoosier Hysterics podcast, I think it’s fair to say Fland is Rabby’s number 1 kid. He was pretty gushy during the podcast.
