Haven’t watched a minute of him other than videos, but a friend coached him playing 15U with BBE and LOVES him. Raves about his vision and decisions. Swears there’s a range of outcome for him that includes being a 6’9” primary facilitator. -
Ant’s a great follow. Played at Michigan like 15 yrs ago. Smart guy. Does not suffer fools.

https://x.com/Ballislife/status/1846163801789571204 If this guy doesn’t play a minute in the League, and what a fan favorite he’ll be if he does, he’d make ungodly jack hustling. Billy Hoyle wishes he was this guy.

A wildly random thought while basking in the glow of winning IU football: Is there a scenario in which Cig could end up a College HOF coach? Right now he’s obviously not, but is it possible for a 63yo guy to do enough in, say, 7-10 years at a program as destitute as this one has been, short of winning Natty’s, to create that kind of narrative? What made me think of that was that Bill Snyder’s name came up in a conversation. Dude’s in the HOF because he took a dead program and turned it into a live one. But he was there for like 15 years the 1st time. Is it possible to create that sort of perception of a guy’s career in a smaller window?

Got to assume the 11/9 Michigan game would be the sweet spot. Guaranteed sellout. Will have great energy. Brand name opponent. Has the potential to be a very cool event. -

Is apparently on campus right now, per his Twitter. -
Counterpoint: When you reach a certain…uh…vintage, you pray for that noon kickoff because you’ve already been up for like 7 hrs and you have to fit in a nap to make it through a 7pm kickoff.

Things you're most curious to see this basketball season
Demo replied to Home Jersey's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Interested in most of the same things everyone else is, but #1 for pure curiosity and there is no close 2nd, as the biggest Jakai Newton fan around here by a mile, is where is that kid physically? Pre-injury he was a Russell Westbrook-level athlete. -
McCarthy’s got to be gone tomorrow, right? You’re probably gone end of year anyway and now you’re getting beat by 35 at home going into a bye week and the Lions are running gimmick plays on you to try to get OL’s touchdowns? Crowd didn’t even care enough to boo, they just split. No coming back from this.

I still have very little faith that they can make it into the playoff with 1 loss, but seeing them ahead of 2-loss Ole Miss in the AP poll is mildly encouraging.
-
As hard as the B1G has been promoting Drew Allar as a Guy for years, I have a suggestion: pay me not to watch him. I’ve never seen that kid exceptional a single time.
-
That was an awesome onside kick. So much sidespin it looked like it picked up speed when it hit the 1st kid.
-
Also confirmed that the Northwestern QB is pretty good. It may never be as pretty as some of the throws Roarke can make, but that kid makes plays and competes his a$$ off. I’m a fan.
-
Yeah, pretty sure Boca was the spot of choice when Frankie and Dino were doing the whole Rat Pack thing.
-
If someone’s looking to see Woody go away after this year something like 4 or 5 in the conference and a Sweet 16 is probably the worst possible outcome. Not bad enough to just force a decision and not good enough for him to call it a win and walk away. The desired outcomes for that are either a complete implosion, and I think the roster’s just too good for that, or a great season, top of the conference and Elite 8/Final 4, that would allow Woody to claim mission accomplished and head off to Boca, presumably with a big check.

2025 General Recruiting Thread (BBall)

The Boozer twins to Duke. Will be interested to see how long Scheyer can keep up the recruiting momentum without actually winning anything. -
https://x.com/ATRightMovies/status/1844677658296058097 This a great follow. Every week or 10 days they bust out a 40-50 post thread on how a movie came together. So maybe a 10 minute read and they are interesting without fail.

Mathurin with a huge game last night against Cleveland. A little deceptive because Cleveland wasn’t playing a lot of guys, but he looked good and his stroke looked great. His D looked like his D but, ya know, 1 step at a time.
-
Given how that fanbase travels I’ll be interested to see what % is Husker folk. That being said, it’s encouraging knowing it’s no longer gonna be like some of those OSU games where they were 70% of the stadium.

Braylon Mullins (2025) SG - to UConn
Demo replied to Barrel Rick's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I’m not sure what negative recruiting is in this context. “We’ve won 2 Naty’s and they couldn’t make the tournament with a lottery pick on the roster and a big time kid bailed on them because their offense doesn’t generate looks and now he’s here because ours does. And he’s a friend of yours, right? Feel free to check in with him,” strikes me less as “negative recruiting” and more like “lay of the land”. The way you combat that is to exceed expectations. -

Yeah, when you do something for the 3rd time in basically 50 years, you DO walk on water.
