Both Cherry and Mendoza got redshirts, correct? So with a portal addition they would have 4 scholarship QB’s, 2 of whom are still freshman. Is it common to carry 5 QB’s on scholly or is this a PWO situation?

Wake Forest WR Deuce Alexander enters the portal. 36 catches as a redshirt freshman. Apparently had a JMU offer in HS. IU certainly had good luck with Wake Forest kids this year. -

Supposedly, Hudson’s deal with Texas A&M. Insane if true. But, hey, kid caught 8 passes last year. Makes me even happier that Cig is focusing on hungry lower level kids moving up. -
He was just a bit before my time at IU. My memory of him as a player was with the Suns and I was 10 or 12 and I think he retired just when I got into high school. He was a freaking good player.

Actually, I’m keeping a pretty good eye on the Falcons-Raiders. I’m feeling a possible Michael Penix sighting.

Not sure 3rd team is doing that kid justice. He was basically unblockable in every game.

Levis is a good comp. I was thinking Carson Wentz but I think Levis is better.

Allar’s a pretty interesting case. He looks like he was created in a lab and his stats have been great for a couple of years. But when you watch him you never, or at least I never, think “Yeah, that’s a Guy.”

Since Coach McCollum is already the no doubt proud owner of his own coaching thread, it seems only right to include this. Field of 68 talking to Drake players tonight about their start. Can’t imagine there won’t be significant insight into the coaching piece.

Banks is an all-time WTH kid for me. Watched him play probably 10 high school games and thought he was a no doubt really good college wing. And then he spent 2 years looking completely lost and like the game was way too fast for him. So strange.

Kaleb Banks dropped 33/16 on Florida St for Tulane today. Now averaging about 17/8 on close to 50/40/80 shooting splits and has committed a grand total of 4 TO’s in 11 games. Whatever the staff here couldn’t connect to evidently the Tulane staff has.

Love it. Love it. Love it. O-line seemed like the 1 position group that got handled against UM and OSU and worries me against ND. Keep upgrading that piece. -
The thing that kills me about the Portal/NIL combo is mid-major programs pitches have become, “Come here for immediate playing time and exposure and our development program will get you a giant bag from a power conference school as a soph or junior. That has got to feel so gross to some of these guys.

Nice timing with the girl’s recruiting reference. I’m going to see Naveah Caffey play tonight against undefeated St Peter’s Lutheran, who Incarnate Word apparently only beat by 20-something last year, so an almost competitive game. -
Belichick is the ultimate no F’s to give dude, and he’s certainly earned it, but I don’t get it from UNC’s end at all. It feels like a Hall of Fame example of winning the press conference, except I can’t imagine it does. Every freaking question is going to be some derivative of “WTH, Bill?”

I see no scenario where this is successful. Dude will be 72 before he coaches a game there. And if they committed to Steve as an heir apparent, Jesus, what are they doing?
